Seems his paper upheld a complaint made by a Newcastle fan against him. Clearly he's been told to delete offensive tweets and stop being a dick.

Certainly looks like the tweet in question is gone. Also the 'reworded' version he was standing behind a few hours ago. Absolute muppet. No doubt he'll be back baiting someone soon.

Despite being blocked by Delaney I think it is a disgrace that people write to his employer trying to get him sacked for having a highly political view on Saudi Arabia.

I don't agree with his conclusion and think the fact that Saudi interests are already well embedded in this country and globally means that the myopic view that investment in football can only be sportswashing can't be true. At least part of PIF's interest in Newcastle is financial. And why on earth would the Rueben Brothers get involved if not for financial reasons. Likewise, Silverlake couldn't care less about sportswashing Abu Dhabi's state reputation.

But he is entitled to his view without a pile on to get him sacked. The point he made re trains was not difficult to understand and is a commonish retort.

The unfortunate reality for the Delaneys of this world are that Chinese, PIF (the Saudi investment fund) and Abu Dhabi money have invested and will continue to invest/own many Western assets in all sectors. What does he want a shareholder list on the label of every product and service?

Agree on the point about writing to his employer and trying to get him sacked - that’s wrong however, his conduct on Twitter is unprofessional at times and I’m sure his employer wouldn’t be impressed by some of his behaviour. On the wider anti Middle East stance he has adopted - it’s nothing more than racism to single out one area of the world as he does - rather than comment objectively. How’s human rights doing the US just now?

If you don't think his "highly political view on Saudi Arabia" isn't heavily influenced by other factors, then you're not as intelligent as I thought.

Migule Deloony and his Cake shame, he should do his research otherwise his Shatners Bassoon will end up in a time loop with his arms to feeling like a couple of fortnights in a bad balloon. Do you know what I mean?

Hard to credit that someone in such a privileged and opportunity laden occupation should choose to spend his whole time squabbling on Twitter with supporters and generally acting like a fucking tit. Embarrassing

Thanks, I think there is a complement in there.

I don't think his political view is influenced by football. I do think his political views influence his view on football.

I stress nobody could surely know, but there is a growing rumour we may have had a major witness of a royal persuasion.

And it wasn't Prince Andrew.

Surely HH, whoever it needs to concern, would not get involved?

More likely to have been Khaldoon if anybody?
Bet nobody thought we’d be going for the pizza express defence ;-)

Not much of a surprise that our chairman was involved?

I watched Primal Fear last night.

Whoever it was, I hope they were as convincing as Aaron Stampler, in the witness box.

In front of a hearing, I'd still be surprised?

He doesn't need to be anywhere near it.

Especially so, when we are paying experts 20k a day to get the message across.

On the flip side, if a HH needed to get involved or the CEO of Etihad, it must have been deemed pivotal to our case?

Dan Roan just got a volley.

Made my day that.

Miss Staveley has not had a good day either?

Lots of presumptions.

Let's hope our case over Zoom last week was much more prepared!

What happened to Roan, really do not like that bloke.

Apparently he wrote something last Friday which could have prejudiced the case?

The senior judge today said he had made contact to warn him next time he would be in serious bother.

He announced it at the end of the afternoon proceedings.
