How can it be a big mistake when he has decided he wants to move away. Great player but replaceable.

Perhaps it was done for a purpose ?

To try and get the player to react in a positive way, but only Pep knows what his intentions and reasons for that approach were .

We as supporters are just speculating .

No reason to make it public though, he wouldn't like directors at the club discussing his own situation. 2 sides to all these stories.

From watching Sane, and this a perception, but you sometimes wonder in matches if he is fully switched on and whether he is always prepared to put the extra yards in, particularly when things are not going his way.

Pep probably is a bit harder on him but maybe that is the only way to coax the best out if him.

Some players will respond others will probably not have the career their talents merit. Football is littered with them.

I would love Sane to stay as I think his potential is unlimited, but I do not think him leaving could be put at Peps door. His main strength as a coach is improving players, including Sane, and so his methods clearly work. Just sad that in this instance Sane sees his future back in his home country.
 
Pep is gonna want him out asap isnt he, so that a replacement can come in and have a team who wants to be here. But he csnt just say hes going now regardless as that alters the price

Understand what you are saying but they mobilised his family like gpc turning up at Brian riggs house. Effectively used mum as a go between
 
It’s a pity Sane is leaving. But players are passing by and he will be forgotten soon enough. In fact he’s been away for nearly a year already and wasn’t a regular starter before that.

Well he has a brilliant centurians season and then what,says I can't be arsed anymore? He hasn't had his head turned and said fuck city,he wasn't hardly played for a whole season before they came in the scene and we were desperate to keep him in public but he hardly got played,it doesn't take a copper to work out there was something wrong there some where

Anyway the decision has been made and I shall retreat and be gutted on my own

It is the best for both parties imo irrespective of where the " blame " lies .

Praises sung in public ,pep on his case in private and never played,players want to play,they are allowed to get pissed off as anyone in any job does,as I keep saying ,football is not special,it is the same as any other workplace and it is a job where they take decisions based on playing,the family,the pull of their own countries ,same as anyone else,anyone in any job can be missed off that they are not getting ahead or put behind others

It is easy to take his laid back style and say he has an attitude problem

Honestly some of you sound like spiteful kids

One of the reasons we won the title was sanes something like ten goa!s ? including the dipper goal,it wasn't risking anything to play him

I trust Pep’s judgement so perhaps as you say Pep is spiteful.

Fair point but think of Pep’s reaction to Raheem’s miss at Burnley and all of the footage from the training ground of Pep hammering Raheem with tactical information. He wouldn’t be the player he is now without that input.

Pep is mega intense, I don’t think he would have been on Leroy’s case all the time, the documentary also showed his great manner with the squad as well.

I don’t think we are a million miles apart in our views, Leroy has had his head turned and don’t think even us matching BM’s salary offer would change things.

We won’t get pushed around, I’d like to see us play hardball in the negotiations like Levy does. He usually wangles our a good deal.
