Possibly not
But who knows his level when he is carrying a shit team in his shoulders constantly
With better players he would improve
He’s English as well
His attitude may be a problem but that could change when not at villa
First thing I'd do is strap him down and shave off that daft Peaky Blinders
hairstyle.

Would City still be able to suspend the ban even if we failed in the CAS appeal, taking it directly to the Swiss Court would allow for that?

A whisper Simon Pearce was one of the witnesses called.
Very unlikely to get the ban injuncted.

I think it is also unlikely that witnesses were cross examined. Expert witnesses were called but Pearce is not an expert - he would be a City witness and I'd be very surprised if City volunteered Pearce. A very dangerous thing to do.

I think they will have to relax the rules in both the Premier league and champions league. No club will turn a profit with match day income effected. I think I did see something on here the other day confirming that Uefa are relaxing the rules whether it is a loop hole we could exploit with extra investment to blow everyone out of the transfer market remains to be seen.
The PL version of FFP is much more relaxed than UEFA s version.

"they must show that they have not sustained losses totalling £105million or more over three rolling seasons. (2019-20 starts a new cycle)

If clubs are found to have done so, they must commit to reduce their losses by £22m per season - and will likely face a significant fine or, in extreme circumstances, even further punishments such as points deductions or transfer embargoes."

We've been consistently posting profits over the last few seasons, so even if they did relax it I don't think it would affect us. I can't see them changing it anyway, the wages rules were removed in 2019(?)

From my limited understanding it will be very difficult to appeal to the Swiss Courts as any appeal is on a point of law only. I think our ability to suspend the ban would depend on what point we are appealing on.

With your information that we’re interested in Grealish makes me wonder are we preparing for a loss at CAS and he’s a KDB replacement. Could just be good contingency planning I suppose but a concern all the same.
