So IF we've been found guilty and the club know this, why not leak it, what does it matter, CAS are not going to change the verdict, fuck um get it leaked

To my mind, engaging Delaney in a debate is a pointless task.

He’s not going to alter his opinion on the subject and if anything it’s only going to anger the person trying to educate him, in fact, even he realised he’d had it wrong half way through said argument he would never admit it.

Pointless task.
Quite. He's like a parrot, or one of those dolls where you pulled a string and they say one of a small number of phrases.

If the appeal does go our way any thought of this bringing the media to heel is fantasy , they will ramp up the garbage they right about our club asking for a full explanation of the decision which as far as i am aware CAS are not duty bound to give them , so the media will make their own storylines based on "sources".
The hate for our club will actually increase because we will have been seen to "get away with it", we used to be everybody's second team lovable losers with a band of fiercely loyal supporters , now we are charlatans with gloryhunting fans who cant be arsed to fill their seats.

Success breeds jealousy and contempt , ive put with knobhead no nowt opposing fans for the last decade , its water of a ducks back now.

I think we just need to press reset on Ian Cheeseman's tweet (also Trevor Sinclair's on which his was based). Pretend he never tweeted it, I get the impression he does!

I get the impression it was done to wind up Liverpool and United fans.

It's 9:15am on a Saturday morning and I've been glued to this thread for two hours already. I think that's my weekend sorted. This will be my last contribution for a while because I don't want to create more reading for people without anything important to say.

For what it's worth, I think little weight should be attached to Ian Cheeseman's tweet yesterday. That doesn't mean to say that he may not turn out to be right but he has subsequently become conspicuous by his absence since posting that tweet. We're all City fans, of course, but he is a borderline obsessive City fan. He even admits it himself. Ask yourself this - is it plausible for a mad keen City fan, with a relative fall from media grace, to try to seize the story about the best possible news we've had in a long time? I think so, and, in the absence of any other information, I'm discarding what he said.

Pep's apparently bullish press conference yesterday may be more indicative of a positive verdict. It is perfectly conceivable that he knew at that point and it would be surprisingly forthcoming for a man who does not know to say what he said less than 72 hours before the whole world knows.

Ian's absence is due to his elderly father taking a bad fall and being very poorly.

Won't get much of a Stadium for £100 million. Spurs Stadium was £850 million. The even applied for Furloughs for their staff, Liverpool did to but dropped that.
Think the Etihad was built for around 100m for the commonwealth games and City have spent nearly three times that amount on.it and the academy since then !!

This is exactly my worry. I can’t shake the feeling the club have put this out for damage control re Monday’s verdict.

If the club know we’re getting the ban overturned on Monday
It makes sense to put out there that sterling and KDB wanted to stay anyway
Siege mentality to stop the Miguel Delaney’s in their tracks
