I can't see that @tolmie's hairdoo has replied to this and his last post was "goodnight campers".....

He is referring to the 2nd stage of yesterdays post-match press conference which is embargoed until 10:30 this evening for the papers tomorrow.

The quotes from that will appear on here shortly after and we will see Pep again in relaxed and confident mode.

This means the confidence levels on here will increase significantly assuming we buy into Pep already knowing the outcome.

We can then all go to bed in a confident frame of mind before the nerves kick-in again first thing in the morning.
Thanks. I had a look for the embargoes press conference but it's not online yet. Pep was already very confident so I am not sure what more he can say but it will be interesting.

Think it’s only natural that people get more edgy as the decision draws closer. I went to bed last night brimming with confidence, but inevitably a few nagging doubts have re-emerged today. This is City, after all. If I think rationally rather than emotionally though the signs are largely positive.

Still amazed that there have been no leaks though. Absolutely nothing has come out of the club (or indeed UEFA) which is strange. Must’ve been a very strict embargo from CAS on this.

Winning is not bigger than any trophy we have won but it is vital if we are to remain competitive and win any more in the future. The damage to our reputation would be monumental.

For me, I remain confident we will win. The club has always been confident and strong in publicly challenging these allegations. It was always going to require a CAS verdict, and I believe Pep knows the verdict now. There would be no point remaining bullish a couple of days before the announcement. He would just look a bit foolish. He is a clever man and will have known what he was doing.

I fully agree, as a fan they will never be able to take the experience of seeing Manchester city lift all of the trophies in front of my very eyes.

As some have already said the confidence of the club from the start has made me believe we always had a card to play.

Anyone else got butterflies similar to the night before the Wembley derby, any Derby before the takeover and the night before QPR?

Fuck the champions league. It is the sniping from rival fans, the claim that achievements are undeserved etc.. Pep won’t extend.

No guarantee of a positive result, but if the club took this route instead of a fine. Heads have to roll if it goes tits up

Why ?

F**k all I can do whatever they announce, and it'll still be there when I'm having my breakfast, and there'll still nothing I can do that will change the result.

Totally relaxed about it, its not going to change my life significantly.

Its a game of footy , we might not be able to play in europe for two years , we might be relegated to the National league , but my bacon sarny will still taste as good i will still support God's own club.
Some posters tempers rising on here , mine included , a few Buds and it will all go away for a few hours.

Well that's an interesting retort. You'd be more persuasive if you actually backed up what you're saying by telling us why you're saying it. Your opinion is meaningless if you can't say what you're basing it on.

I'm not remotely interested in persuading anyone.

We disagree, that's fine love. No problem.

Not read all your posts i do not have the inclination , i read the one were you stated a points deduction and players leaving en masse , that was enough to bring my conclusion

I said its not beyond the realms of possibility that some players might want out, I said nothing about a mass exodus.

If we are found guilty and then the Premier league investigate for the same reason, what do you think the punishment would be?

The last time wa

They dare not even imply they have a sniff, being so close to an actual verdict.

Most would usually speculate bullshit for weeks on end but they can't, simply because it would expose them for the blaggers they are.

They would rather say nowt and then come across all informed and opine tomorrow, offering opinion as fact.

City have played a blinder in terms of the flow of information.

Perhaps they also feel it will have more resonance and meaning for both our fans and the wider public that we all get it tomorrow hard and straight.

Sounds positive
