Arsenal FA Cup SF Post-Match Thread

To get beat 2-0 by that shower of shit is a fucking embarrassment.
Just saw between our game and Liverpool game they had 6 shots, all on target and scored 4 goals.
They conceded 49 shots and no goals. Only shot on target today was when the ball slapped off Sterling's face.

It’s not as simple a fix as throwing money at it, we risk getting more of the same, though there are key positions to refresh eg CB.

Is Pep willing to adapt for teams that have worked us out. If yes, that might require a different type of player.

The players are good enough. The tactics are the problem

Did you think the 16/17 team would get 100 points the year after?

We’re a very good team with 2-3 holes in the bucket just as we did then. Plug those holes and we’ll be flying again.

The recruitment has to be right though.

Feels different TBH, that was Pep's bedding in season.
Maybe that's why he only stays at clubs 3-4 years.

Commiserations city.
Congratulations Arsenal.
Doubling up on Sterling and Mahrez and packing the box to negate KDB seems to have worked.

For the interest of fairness, what's the tally for the other players in the team?
Good question. Ederson and Walker have been on more losing teams and you're hardly going to blame them for all of ourr defeats.
Gundog at 20m sounds better value than Rodri at 60m.

i wont lie, the last two games were dire. lets see if pep can find some answers. I think it lies somewhere with bernardo or foden and benching gundo forever, please

You think he would have known that already. This squad are either not up to it or Peps lost his mojo.

The squad look tired and without idea at times

Pep looks frustrated as though they just aren’t listening to him

Not sure who the assistant Pep brought in but he seems not to communicate with him like he did with Arteta

Does anyone realistically think that squad can reach the 90-95 points that will be needed to win the PL next season?
The drop off this year has been huge.

The injury excuse can't be used since the restart.
10 games since lockdown and lost 3. I know Kun has been injured but long term he’s not in the plan any more so something needs to change. Yes we beat teams 5-0 on a regular basis, but when we don’t, we struggle big time just like tonight. We desperately need a CB, but we also need something different in the final third.

that new coach has improved our corner taking thats for sure

Again totally clueless, for all the offensive pressure we apply our set pieces are nothing short of aimless.

A multi million pound team must have a some kind of innovation with regards to corners after all what do we work on in training day after day ?

Who's been the manager for all of those defeats? Bring in Jose I say!

Could well be. It would be a bold statement of intent for him to commit to City now. It needs it, either way. The whole season has felt like we were drifting, RM away game aside
