Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

One big thing about Pep people have mentioned is that he doesn’t get ‘us’. The club, the hardship where the fans came from etc.

watching that passionate speech he gave in the press conference, I’m sure he does. It makes me fucking proud to be a blue with him in charge!

Manchester City fans. This is your manager.

An impassioned speech from Pep Guardiola on respect for the club.

Beautiful

Were talking in 5 years plus when Pep will be seen by the world as a footballing God. Who knows what his relationship with the FA will look like then. Southgate to fail at next 2 Euros and the world cup while Pep wins all before him in England and Europe. Not forgetting the club world cup. The country will demand Pep as the manager then. The dynasty at City will be built. Time to start thinking big again, really big...
Not a fucking chance that Pep would go anywhere near the England managers job. He is happy at City cos he likes the people he works with so much, they leave him to do his job, and give him support when he needs it. There is zero chance he would get any of that in the England job.

Edit - plus he is not a waistcoat fucking wanker

Whatever Pep does is fine by me, he’s the best of the best and if we can’t hold on to him so be it.. Listening to him speak though I would not back against him extending his contract a few seasons...

fuck I hope so, it will be like the King retiring when Pep leaves :-(::::::;;;;;

If Pep ever were to go into International Management I could see it being Argentina or Brazil, definitely not England.

Can see talks starting once the Champs League is over, just give him a rolling contract and he can stay forever if he wants, would love it to just end in a good 10+ year stint (never going to happen though)

None of us know if Pep is staying or going but surely, given his friendship with Txiki and Ferran, and from a purely business perspective, he surely has made them and Khaldoon aware of his intentions after his current contract expires?

The club need to plan and scout and sound out other managers.

I would also fully expect Peps agent (assuming he has one) to already have a number of offers from other clubs if Pep leaves.

Just my opinion, I expect the club will announce a rolling contract so the players are focused next season on football, he will then either leave end of next season or stay longer with the contract issue deflecting from the focus. Similar to what they did with Pellegrini when we knew Pep was coming the next season.

If Pep does extend then i would be surprised if it's anything other than a one year rolling contract.

My mate reckons Pochettino has already been lined up with Peps blessing.
Hence he hasn't applied for anything else.

Yep, I’ve got mates who reckon that too.
Be very interested in what would happen if we were successful in Portugal next month.
