First video piqued my interest. Looked at a few more and this lad looks a real talent. Does seem that the scum are courting him as well though
 
Do hope he signs. We need a direct replacement for Mendy to challenge him to up his game. Walker's continued consistency can partly be attributed to the fact that Danilo and Cancelo have always been there breathing down his neck. Mendy has looked over his shoulder, often from the treatment table, and seen Delph, Zinchenko, Laporte, Fernandinho, Cancelo, and Angelino deputize, and though they've generally done an admirable job, Mendy must have calculated that he'd get back in immediately. Aït-Nouri is recognized as being a very special talent, so Mendy will start to feel the pressure.
 
Makes perfect sense to give Mendy a last season to see if he can reach the standards of fitness and potential he showed at Monaco after the injuries. Whilst having Ake to step in to provide stronger defensive cover in the bigger games potentially and having a younger lad like Aït-Nouri being able to get game time in the cups and show what he's all about to try and get himself in the first team.
 
I'm out of the loop. Is there a reason we're talking like this is definitely happening?
 
He’d be a nice addition to our TWO FULL TEAM squad and looks like he would give Mendy a run for his money. His passing inside already looks better than Mendy’s, which is his weakest attribute in a Pep team...gives the ball away too much and puts us under immense pressure.

These are exciting type of signings, players almost off the radar but have all the talent and potential to be top class players.
 
His forward movement reminds me a bit of Ghoulam at Napoli, who we were linked with before he did his cruciate against us in the CL. Poor lad was never the same afterwards

I don't imagine us playing wing backs and then wingers as well, though the formation will be fluid. Maybe Rodri plays in the middle of a back 3 but steps into midfield, so he's better covered for pace but can provide better protection and can step in and link the play?

Was in Manchester environs early in the week (visited both clubs) and his club has acknowledged that he is leaving and terms seem to be agreed, so just waiting for the player to say which club.
