Salty reactions from other fans and the media

given that Van Dijk was £75m, so elite CBs have gone up 2.5 times in that period. So Ake comparatively is what, about £16m in 2002 CB money. Cheaper than Stones was 4 years ago and only a bit more expensive than Nico or Mangala from even earlier.

We must have used the Sane money to buy Ake so in net terms not cost us that much?

Sorry if it has already been posted but I have just come across this clip from Dave Kitson from 2 weeks ago:

Talk about not accepting a legal verdict. Chris Sutton (who I don’t particularly rate) seemed a little bemused but I really have to question what Kitson’s problem is? He has played most of his career in the lower divisions with very few EPL appearances. He then comes out with utter rubbish regarding Sterling and now this. Did we do him harm in a previous life?

Saw that when it was first uploaded.

I really hate Chris Sutton's particular brand of smugness but it was fantastic to see him crank it up to 11 in the face of Kitson's sanctimonious bullshit.

Guy calls himself the Secret Footballer, writes Cosmo-quality books pretending to give the inside scoop and he now swans about thinking he's Hunter S. Thompson.

Ginger tosspot.

It's when a poster says 'Everybody knows that City lied....' etc, you know that they will never change their mind, despite the wealth of evidence presented, signed, sealed and delivered by City, auditors, associated firms, 3rd party firms and now confirmed byCAS.

And they clearly don't know that the 2014 'pinch' happened because the rules were tweaked to make us fail FFP.

To them it's embedded in their skull. City = bad. United = smelling of roses.
It's funny when you just go " who cares if we lied, we got away with it mwahhhhh" they almost self combust

I know all this saltiness pisses off a lot of City fans, but having had 12 years, 4 Prem titles, umpteen cup wins, Aguerooooo, Silva, Yaya and co and Pep to get used to it.
Not to mention pissing off the self proclaimed aristocracy of football, seeing the old top 4 humbled and seeing off FFP and Eufa, I personally, am quite beginning to enjoy it.

It's all part of a ride that I'm sure many old school blues are still getting used to.

Hey Gary, what do you call a Scouser in a suit? ......... The Accused

Actually Khaldoon, I think they are called Guilty?

Kitson all over the place there. To think he wants to head the PFA, I wouldn't let him run an egg n spoon race. He is factually incorrect with almost everything he says...we dragged our feet??
I like Sutton, he isn't afraid to argue and disagree with his fellow pundits and he's a rarity in that.

But Maguire was 80m more recently and he’s not elite

Hilarious 'if you say so' response to Sutton proclaiming that we have been proven innocent of FFP breaches.

- Not me saying so fella, independent judges who have actually looked at the details of the case. Unlike your unlearned self who is scrabbling to defend a now redundant hole you dug for yourself based upon no more than believing someone else's 'if you say so' opinion.
YCNMIU

I think we should have an annual 'how stupid do they look now?' day roundup to lift the spirits when times get tough.

He was a bang average footballer who obviously wants to keep his career going in the media.

He then sees a no mark footballers like Steven Warnock and Neil Mellor get jobs in the media and thinks he can emulate them.

The difference is, both of those talentless pricks played for Liverpool which automatically qualifies them for a role in the media.

Kitson doesn’t have that luxury. He’s also an ugly ginger prick to boot, so he can’t even go down the Redknapp route of being pleasing on the eye for the ladies.

Therefore, he needs to make himself likeable to the hordes of Rag and Dipper imbeciles who spend all day listening to talk sport and voting on every possible BBC/SkySport poll.

What better way to do that than sticking to boot to City.

another gem.

Lindlelof is twice the player Ake is, getting him for £30m was a steal.
Maguire is now our captain and didn't miss a minute of the league campaign, I'd say it's looking good for £80m so far..

Lol..really. Did the muppet who wrote that watch Maguire the other week.

I guess that explains it!
