They also "forget" about the huge sums provided in equity investment (outside money) raised when floating on the stock market in 1991.
Investors pumped in millions through a rights issue to set them up for almost 20 years of dominance.
Ultimately Glazer borrowed the money to buy all these shares and loaded the money he borrowed as debt back on the club. They're effectively paying back everything invested, plus the increase in value since 1991 and interest on top.

Cue David "our man at Uefa" Gill who happens to be UEFA treasurer lobbying for England to get the Euros. Choose the swamp as a venue and a "grant" towards stadium improvements.

Also where did $400k/week come from? I thought it was closer to $500k/week

Fought off competition from City? City had already ended negotiations and walked away before the rags jumped in and offered him a deal equivalent to the GDP of a small African country.

I thought newspapers were obliged to display the warning, "This is an advertising feature" when product promotion takes the form of bogus news articles.
