Pep is without doubt a fantastic manager. But all managers make mistakes, it's how you learn from them that matters. His team selection tonight will undoubtedly, and indeed quite correctly, be forensically analysed. He has made a mistake, a big mistake, but it's how he learns from it that is important. Be stubborn and you are gone, live and learn and you will turn this team into world beaters. Things are in the balance as it stands. I don't know one City fan that didn't think the team selection was very risky, a pedestrian midfield, and would invite problems, which was then played out. Does he deserve to be offered one though?

The clubs main objective is surely to win the Champions League and he’s not only failed but done so spectacularly 4 times now. Not many (if any!!) managers get a 5th opportunity?

Well we certainly would be fool to go into his last year of contract without knowing:

a.) who will replace him end of season as he wont continue after that

b.) sign an extension before PL start which is less then 4 weeks
