Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

The whole feeling around Pep is how a little club like Manchester City are so lucky to have a manager like him and how we should jump to his tune. “Will he stay one year or another 3? Who cares, we are so lucky to have him, there is no one else who could do it better”

Its the same mentality that he has in big games “little Manchester City cant compete in the CL QF, so we better over respect the opposition as we have no right to be here”

There is no way he would do this at Bayern or Barca or even Juve. Yet time and time again he’s doing it with us.

In 2 weeks time he should be putting on a presentation to US why we should continue with him, not the other way round as all he’s done is won one league more than Mancini!

Time to go, the players won't buy into him after tonights shambles
Can go for me now.

4 years on the spin he’s put his ego before what’s best for the team / club.

Playing Gundogan in every minute of every Champions League game is scandalous and verging on suspicious.

He’s not going to change. He’s going to put his ego first.

It’s been the best football ever in England but it’s time for someone with a bit less ego.

Get Pocchetino.

Want him to stay for years, but tonight proved there’s something not right with him in European knockout games. Don’t know if it’s the beatings he got from barca a few years ago when he was Bayern’s manager or the two Monaco games that has made him come up with some mental tactical changes.

Pep is without doubt a fantastic manager. But all managers make mistakes, it's how you learn from them that matters. His team selection tonight will undoubtedly, and indeed quite correctly, be forensically analysed. He has made a mistake, a big mistake, but it's how he learns from it that is important. Be stubborn and you are gone, live and learn and you will turn this team into world beaters. Things are in the balance as it stands. I don't know one City fan that didn't think the team selection was very risky, a pedestrian midfield, and would invite problems, which was then played out. Live and learn please Pep, live and learn.

He should sign an extension now or fuck off. We can’t accept another season like Pellegrini’s final year

Does he deserve to be offered one though?

The clubs main objective is surely to win the Champions League and he’s not only failed but done so spectacularly 4 times now. Not many (if any!!) managers get a 5th opportunity?

He doesn't deserve an extension. But he would still get one. Because of his reputation and his Barca buddies....

I think that could be his last game in charge for us tonight, If he’s not going to sign a new contract.

Well we certainly would be fool to go into his last year of contract without knowing:

a.) who will replace him end of season as he wont continue after that

b.) sign an extension before PL start which is less then 4 weeks

Also this Juan Lillo guy? Is he any help? Arteta seemed a good assistant and not too bad for Arsenal as he improved them quite a bit in short time.

I don’t want Pep to go. He’s won a lot with us and he can do so again. However surely the club must know if he is staying or not ? If they don’t how can we have long term plans for the squad?

He does have questions to answer. However I doubt all his mates in the hierarchy would contemplate not offering an extension
