Good. Expect us to get messed around by Messi for a few weeks before the barca board manage to put his dummy back in, leaving us with no time left in the transfer winds, a lot of money in our back pockets and the same holes in the squad we have today.

Or even better, sign a 68 year old Messi on 30 million a week only for him to get poleaxed by some meathead week 1 and spend the next few months back in barca with dr cugat.

I don't know why people think the board can't work on the other transfers at the same time as trying to coax Messi into leaving.

Torn to be honest,I don't think he would be coming for the right reason,i worry what kev,raz,bernie and maybe Phil would think of him taking their space,it is not worth pissing kev off when he comes in on double,triple the wages,i think on balance it is not worth it, but I accept it is not a popular opinion

Also if pep plays favourites like he does with gundy that wouldn't be good for team harmony

Fair enough, I think he is that special that the other players would not be bothered about wages, the chance to play and train with him would be sensational for them.

Im sceptical it will happen but would love to see it.

Messi wouldn't get out of bed for 500k a week. Add a mil onto that plus a FAT signing fee

About transfers, I expect a lot to happen this week now that we’re out of the CL.

Otamendi, Angelino, Zinchenko off, perhaps even Stones. Koulibaly coming in, and maybe a leftback.

KDB would definitely deserve parity and his agent would demand he’s the highest paid player at the club or he wouldn’t renew.
You are delusional if you think KDB will renew unless he is the highest paid player.

If we do sign a LB, surely Reguilon has to be on the list of potential options.

He’s been really impressive in this Europa run, effective both in attack and defensively. Probably the most complete LB available in the market.

I’d imagine he will go for a reasonable fee too with Real needing to sell a few players, but there have been rumours of them wanting a buy back clause which would obviously be an issue. We do seem to have quite good relations with them though.
