You can't go into the season with one year remaining, it simply won't work, it never does.rather keep Pep on for more than someone who couldnt win anything at spurs

Agree completely, but he can't go into next season with one year remaining.Pep is still the beter bet than Poch

I hope so, time will tell, I am sure we will here this week, the decision has got to be made one way or the other.i gathered that, and no doubt something will be announced soon
To be fair Ray, both those sides could have played 9v11 most weeks and won. Too much competition in Prem so even a small drop in standards is exposed as we have seenBarcelona didn't do too badly with Pep in his last year in charge and he did give their board plenty of warning and time. The same with Bayern

A well thought out post much better than the usual get behind..... support your...... nonsense.
I must know though if the Albert Ross was intentional or a auto spell thing.
Pray tell.
i was down on pep as well, the next day instead of finishing work at 2pm i had to stay until we had met the city plane coming back from portugal,i was not a happy bunny,i was waiting at the bottom of the stairs when the players got off,i wasnt going to say anything because thats more than my jobs worth, first staff member off the plane that i knew was pep, i looked at him ready to give that you fucked up and im not very happy look,he looked at me ,and i fucking melted,so we fucked up in the champs league, he has again provided a Manchester city team I'm so proud of, great football, exciting moments , lots of goals and silverware ,so fuck it, i was pissed off with pep and the team, but not anymore.I was down on Pep for a few hours, but then i remembered how much joy he's brought to the club.I know he's fucking intense, and he does some mental things sometimes, but what's more City than that? I want the c**t to stay forever.
A bit of grit or sand in the Oyster is needed to make the pearl though. I wonder if we have too compliant a structure. Too friendly. There needs to be robust challenge and sometimes disagreement in any structure and I don't see that with us. All best buddies at the top and a lack of challenge to Pep from his direct reports. The squad are all hired because they are nice guys and I think we lack leaders amongst the players. Maybe Kevin will continue to step up and if he does have the balls to question Pep at times. Many high intensity organisations change their leaders every five years or so to refresh strategy, relationships, results etc.
The same face, voice, approach can start to become stale, demotivating, predictable particularly if a stated objective is not achieved......it starts to feel like failure.
I don’t think, and certainly hope, that we’re not approaching that situation with Pep.
This season has been abnormal for several unique, hopefully one off reasons :-
Losing the Captain.
Losing the Assistant
Losing Pep’s Mother
Losing Aymeric.
Losing Sane
VAR
Covid19.
Coming after 2 incredibly successful, enjoyable but stressful seasons we lost some of our intensity, power, belief and confidence.....players & coach.
You can bet that the business & sporting hierarchy will be undertaking a root and branch performance, development & results review but I doubt that anyone will make knee jerk decisions.
We have a long term strategy that won’t be derailed by one result or one seasons results.
Now is the time to be forensic in reviewing matters but also to circle the wagons, protect Pep from the undermining, assassination job that the media are on, rest, refresh , revigorate, regroup and learn our lessons.
I hate the CL and all it falsely represents but I’d like to see us win it just to get the Albert Ross off our backs and to fuck Uefa & the cartel.
Winning back the PL next season will be our priority and in a Covid affected season I’d play the yoof & fringe players in the domestic cups to achieve it.
Back to basics City.
I share your concern but I would imagine the board have in mind who Peps successor will be. I just can't see them allowing a similar situation to unfold like the last season under Pellegrini. Sleep well all is under control.Don't disagree but we do have an issue with potentially losing out on our next candidate (whoever that may be), for another 12 months of Guardiola.
This is where my concern lies coupled with who and how we will be able to recruit during this period.........
When you say melted, do you mean throw your arms round him in a tight cuddle and tell him everything would be fine? Did he admit to his errors through sobs with shoulders heaving?i was down on pep as well, the next day instead of finishing work at 2pm i had to stay until we had met the city plane coming back from portugal,i was not a happy bunny,i was waiting at the bottom of the stairs when the players got off,i wasnt going to say anything because thats more than my jobs worth, first staff member off the plane that i knew was pep, i looked at him ready to give that you fucked up and im not very happy look,he looked at me ,and i fucking melted,so we fucked up in the champs league, he has again provided a Manchester city team I'm so proud of, great football, exciting moments , lots of goals and silverware ,so fuck it, i was pissed off with pep and the team, but not anymore.
The difference is, it's more often than the employee who leaves. It's the same in every work place, once the trust and respect has gone, it's over.
