I find the most vile of liverpool fans are the wools as Scousers call them, if ever they mention crowds ask wete they there with the other 11000 for a European cup night in the 80s at Anfield v Dundalk .

The ammonia attack on United staff and players entering Anfield and another attack on the ambulance carrying a badly injured rag to hospital adds to the list of, as far as I know, unpunished assaults on opponents. As much as I dislike united, I would feel utterly ashamed if any City supporter carried out that sort of criminal act on them or any of our rivals.
their ex players are no better, gobbing on children

Or why their record crowd of all time is lower than each of our top 25.
Or why we have averaged more than them for over a decade.
Or why the Dipperpool Echo writes articles asking how they can address the 2000 empty seats at every home game.

Why are the media so far up their arse?

I understand they try to keep the dipper fanbase onside because of its size. But seeing as the rest of the country despises that club and in normal life Merseyside and scousers are generally seen as a bit of an embarrassment to the rest of the UK, I don’t get it

The only explanation is that the sporting media is infested with Liverpool supporters and ex players

Because they are frightened.

Begins with H and ends in H.

I ain't no embarrassment dude. I only wear a dress twice a week now. Had me teeth done, not got a curly wig, do not own a tracky, and I do not say "A".

But most important.... I am not a kopite

... the thing is that this is all borne out of an inferiority complex far removed from football. They know their city is a run down dump and source of constant embarrassment to the rest of the country... they know the place is a village in comparison to Manchester... they know they're not important culturally, hence why they have to hark back to a one off 60 odd years ago... they know Manchester gives to the world in terms of creativity and advancement, whereas they simply take...

What I don't get is what any of this has to do with the vast hordes of plastic, armchairs, who constantly feel the need to throw their hat into the ring on the part of a side they 'support' by virtue of drawing a name out of a hat titled 'teams that will probably be successful, giving me a chance to big up my pathetic little life by basking in the reflection of their glory'.
The city is fine. Not as good or as big as Manchester but it's a decent city with nice areas such as The Georgian Quarter, which has fine pubs such as Peter Kavanaghs, William Brown Street and the docks.

However, Liverpool football fans are the worst of people. You can't even say scousers because Everton fans are generally decent and despise them as much as we do.

Well said. Liverpool‘s a fine city and most scousers I’ve met have been sound with me. Most of their worst supporters hail from elsewhere.

Fair do’s la. It was a tongue in cheek comment for any lurking cultists.. as there will be some. I actually work with plenty of scousers who are now good mates and I’ve spent many a Friday night on the piss round Liverpool city centre. I also have spent many afternoons on the piss pre and post EFC match with some of these lads in the taxi club

No it’s LFC and their ludicrous weird fanbase I despise.. and to be fair if you interact with a particularly odd one, it turns out in 9 out of 10 cases that they’re not scousers and have never been near Merseyside in their lives

Watching a random vid on YT of a guy being dropped of in random places and trying to figure out exactly where he is and what happens to pop up? a cringe LFC house, of course

The weird mannequin is obvious but note the house number/name as well

It’s a city built largely on the back of unimaginable human suffering.
Not sure that has any relevance to the here and now. An awful lot of great cities were built under the same conditions.
Liverpool is a fantastic place to visit, prefer it to Manchester in some respects.
That said, as a fan base they are without shadow of a doubt the worst in the world for believing that there's some magical, mysterious aura about their club which makes them better than anyone else. They're off their fucking heads.

I would have thought it’s very relevant today given recent events. Just stating a fact - many of its grandest buildings were financed by slave traders. The legacy of racism in the city is still evident today in what is still in many ways a racially segregated city. Liverpool and slavery are inextricably linked which cannot be said of many other cities around the world.

Is there a definitive list somewhere of why their title should have a huge # next to it. I need to respond to some plastic dipper I know who is trolling me. I've got

No fans
4 quarters instead of 2 halves
5 subs
You'd hit the wall at lockdown so bad form could have carried on
All your tired players came back refreshed
Season long VAR experiment

Any more?
