Well said. Liverpool‘s a fine city and most scousers I’ve met have been sound with me. Most of their worst supporters hail from elsewhere.

I live in Ireland and I can assure you that they are classless bastards the lot of them along with the rags. Then again I've been to Anfield 3 times beaten on all three occassions, In the City before the game and met alot of nice people and around the ground met nice lads, A few times I've met absolute pricks and going into the ground on one occasion got spat at and rocks thrown.
They have more cnuts supporting them than anybody else in my opinion and that's right up there with the rags.

Is there a definitive list somewhere of why their title should have a huge # next to it. I need to respond to some plastic dipper I know who is trolling me. I've got

No fans
4 quarters instead of 2 halves
5 subs
You'd hit the wall at lockdown so bad form could have carried on
All your tired players came back refreshed
Season long VAR experiment

Any more?

I guess it is safe again to keep on about that now that the chance of CL* has gone? So I imagine your trolling dipper "friend" will come back with that, so you can prepare your response in advance.
Just trying to be helpful.

Its funny but this is something I have thought and referred to in other posts. The whole buying into "the brand" and being more bombastic/patronising...all amplified the greater distance away from Liverpool or more pragmatic about the good and bad of the club for those from the city and surrounds.
Its funny, been over here for 20yrs now and dont think I have met a taxi driver here who supports a "local team" and they all seem to support trafford borough

Fair do’s la. It was a tongue in cheek comment for any lurking cultists.. as there will be some. I actually work with plenty of scousers who are now good mates and I’ve spent many a Friday night on the piss round Liverpool city centre. I also have spent many afternoons on the piss pre and post EFC match with some of these lads in the taxi club

No it’s LFC and their ludicrous weird fanbase I despise.. and to be fair if you interact with a particularly odd one, it turns out in 9 out of 10 cases that they’re not scousers and have never been near Merseyside in their lives

I was laughing mate. My response was in humour. All good banter. We we all hang out together on holidays so we do get along

100% agree the red side have a very strange fan abse, even more so than your loveable neighbours do.

The slave ships leaving Liverpool were full of textiles from the Lancashire area, Manchester included. The cotton brought back was heading to the mills of Lancashire.

Nobody living today should take blame for what went on in the past, though we should never forget it happened.

My family are Swedish, do I take the blame for what the Vikings did?

Only one thing is certain. teams that play in red are bad bells

I have always liked Manchester. I went out with a Manchester girl when I was younger for about 18 months, I went up there a lot as she did to Liverpool. She was really nice. However, her dad and brothers were Man Utd fans. It had to end ha ha.
