If he is only staying a year and doesn't feel the need to change the way he operates then if I'm honest I'm pretty apathetic to him staying or going. If he signs a long term deal it goes back in his favour.

Strange you are ignoring all the other silverware he's won as well, since when was the league cup not a trophy? Pep has won what, 6 major trophies (excluding the charity shield) in 4 years. Name another manager in the PL with that return / year record.
