Except there is nothing philosophical about about the way Trump lies. It's just a technique he's perfected over years of criminality, and probably learned from his father.
I completely agree that he has little-to-no idea it is a strategy cultivated over centuries; I have said as much in earlier posts. Even if his henchmen told him this is why he should do it his syphilis-addled mind will have completely distorted and/or forgotten the specific instructions.
He just knows lying this way “works”. He’s a child that learned to manipulate his parents and then stopped developing.
But that can be said about most authoritarians and dictators.
Very few every read Goebbels or opposition critiques like Chomsky or Orwell and thought “Eureka! That’s what I’ll try!”
They do it intuitively and then it’s up to the rest of us to analyse, dissect, confront, and mitigate the actual outcomes of their lies and disinformation.
Understanding the implications is very important to combating it, even if the bloated orange fascist **** is not even aware of the full extent of his actions.
Especially as many around him will know full well the implications and have been encouraging him to continue doing it for that and many other reasons. Bannon, Stone, and currently Miller (among others) being those that *have* read Goebbels and had Eureka! moments at one time or another. Those sort are usually the main drivers of this kind of procession to authoritarianism.
Putin likely has a tattoo of the fiendish Nazi **** on his arse (it’s why you never see pictures of him riding a horse pant-less; that and his infinitesimally small... legs).
Trump, like many before him, is simply the idiot-puppet they can make dance for the idiot masses.
