Just watched a Messi highlights video from the season just finished. He would immediately become the best finisher, passer, dribbler, free kick taker and penalty taker at the club.

Moreover, he’s bouncing off challenges left and right, getting pulled back but playing on, in some cases literally getting rugby tackled. Teams are putting two or three men on him and he’s either beating them or playing the ball through to someone in acres of space.

He’s still quicker over that first five yards than almost anyone. The second he pushes the ball past a defender it’s all over.

He's not the greatest on penalties to be honest but there again we were pretty rubbish at them last season as well.

Even if the Barca president leaves, there’s no way Messi could change his mind now. The president(?) of Cataluyna thanked him, Puyol and Suarez showed their support in his decision. There’s no going back at this point. Question is not whether Messi will leave or not, I think it’s a question of transfer fee in order to let him leave. Could even be a court battle.
