Not that I think it's ever going to happen, but if Messi signed for us now it would still be the biggest, most wow signing in World football. He's going to be the best player on the planet for at least another 2 years. If that was spent with us it would benefit us more than Pogba or any other name you want to throw in. Even when he starts his decline and loses a yard of pace, his other attributes mean he would remain at the top echelons of the game for a further couple of years.
