He’s not even a staff member in the traditional sense, he’s Pep’s right hand man and one of his best friends. Literally just there to calm Pep down when he rants and give the players hugs after games.

Yeah, hes pretty much untouchable though so be alright.

Well yeah he needs a title as he’s paid by the club, but he doesn’t do any coaching or anything like that. If you remember the Amazon doc - he’s the former water polo player who’s kind of just always there

Manel Estiarte is Pep's closest confident hes been with him at all his club's he is Head of Player Support and Protocol posted on Instagram a picture of his mother with Messi with the comment
"Thanks for making my mom happy. Thank you for making so many people happy. Now it's time to help you be happy !!!"
His brother Albert reposted it with the comment "Sentiment" The post from Manuel has been deleted

The social media team follow every platform and all City "staff" accounts Probably saw it and suggested it wasn't wise I doubt they have any idea as to whether Lionel is on his way or not
