Of course they do. He’s contracted. His leave clause has gone. They can take it to court, drag it on, neither Messi plays nor do city have a sniff of were even interested.

And just imagine trying to rebuild your team, with a pissed off Lionel Messi, costing you 1 million quid per week, who then signs a pre contact with City, at Christmas.

Would you do that ?

Can you say what people are saying and not what you want them to say
The fuck did I say lmao
I've just quoted a tweet. Stop looking for excuses to quote me on the daily and start something.

It's not 'a little light' it's basically Aguero, who hasn't kicked a ball since his operation, or Messi who isn't a cf, or Sterling, who isn't a cf.

What's the point of signing Messi & fucking the team up to do it ?

And why would Messi want that.

If I was Messi, I'd want Bernardo Silva, Jesus in the squad and I'd want assurances Koulibaly was coming in and we weren't going to end up selling off the cake to afford the icing.

I'll probably get slammed but I really don't want Jesus to be part of the deal. He's such a unique forward and probably the type of striker who Messi would love playing with.
And also, there's no actual reason he needs to be included. Surely we'd just have to go out and buy another striker anyway?

But we don't need to give him up! We are in a position of power here.

Maybe. Without knowing the ins and out of the clubs finances, maybe Jesus doesn’t want to be knocked further down the pecking order and how confident Barça are in their position regards them being entitled to a fee

Losing Jesus would not be ideal but a problem I could live with if we got Messi

Nah. Just about the marketing ain’t it @Marvin
Well Messi pulls on the emotions as a football fan so he has a unique pull on football fans around the world and City are a global group now. In that sense it's marketing. I'll be elated if he signs but rationally I reckon there are more productive ways of improving a football squad.

Jesus might be better with Messi than any of the others. He could actually play the David Villa role too if needed.

I’d imagine disappointing people isn’t a new thing for you. Your parents, for example must wish they’d wiped you on the curtain when they had a chance 12 years ago.
Stop beating around the bush and tell us what you really think of him.
