As i have said to another poster, show me a player that has played 32, scored 25, got 21 assists and 22 man of the match awards in their own league. I am here all day.

Even at 33, he would ruin the premier league. Especially in a side that is as creative and attacking as ours.

Neymar's mitigation is injury.

They will likely follow different paths though no one can know for sure. I would predict one will recover, whilst one will decline slowly. That doesn't mean I don't regard both players very highly indeed.

I'm not arguing against that. But I can say similar for Mbappe, Neymar, or Lewandowski.

How many goals would Lewandowski have scored for City this season. It would have been insane.

I keep seeing references to changes in the soccer Saturday line up and that Merson has survived

Who has been dumped? Thompson and Nicholas I am hoping - and of course shocked that it was not Merson
 
Imagine Messi told the board in July he wanted to activate the clause in his contract and wants to leave. Barca tell him fine fine we'll have the discussion when the season has ended, Messi being the professional finishes the season.
Messi again talks to the board, they tell him i'ts expired should have put in in writing the fist time.
Wouldn't be surprised if it went something like this.

Presumably they are keeping Merson around so everyone has someone to look down on, including the viewers and probably inanimate objects as well.

I regard Messi as the best player ever and very likely we will be saying that in 10 years time. But if you ask me now who is the best player, I would go for Neymar or Mbappe because one on one they will destroy you and you can only foul them. messi hasn't been at that level this season in the games I have seen. Others have mentioned that it's because PSG have better players but that's only part of it.
