He's gone from 5-1 to 5-2 with the bookies today to join us. Personally I think it could be another Rodney Marsh type scenario if he were to come to city (which he won't).

Changed my mind on this the last few days partially because some of the reasoning given by others has made me question my mental state. That and the fact that it's Lionel Messi.

I think that you’ve responded to the wrong post because I didn’t compare Messi to Rodney Marsh.
I saw a comparison made to Cruyff in 1972 and I corrected the year to 1979 so that the Cruyff used as a comparison would be as old as Messi is now.
Cruyff was well past his brilliant best by 1979 in the same way that Messi is now past his brilliant best.
And I think Messi could still be great for us (though not as great as he once was) going forward but we’d be playing with 10 men whenever we didn’t have the ball.
