Despite that goal against Everton, he is literally one of the shittest full backs iv'e ever set eyes on during my time watching City. Stephen Jordan is a close runner up LOL.
At least he tried though.

Hell, just looked him up and he is 38yo fuck me, time flies.

Been in London for a few days, just got back, put my feet up and turned on SSN in the hopes of seeing anything related to Messi. First thing I see is about the MLS and Real Salt Lake's game where "the players took a knee before kickoff, lead by captain and former Manchester City defender Nedum Onunko."

Fuck me, how does anyone watch this?

definitely messi is coming to the city, the coast guard has seen an inflator crossing the canal with two people one hairless working hard paddling, and the other shaking his head continuously studying the next move to achieve glory in the new land. they can only be The two most desired in world in fooball, my heart is Barça but every day it is tinting a little more blue ,crossed my fingers for the blues that can see a good part of the majesty of Messi , he has 3 years left to a good performance, good luck friends, messi will come to the city ,the best place he could come for his precious fooball that city he has been doing for long time, with messi will be complete, long live blues.

The problem they face is that Khaldoon has been laying the ground work for this for 11 years.

Graham Hunter went over it really well in his interview on 9320. In 2009 the club offered Barcelona a blank cheque and Messi wasn't interested, but they kept tabs and kept in friendly contact with Jorge Messi.

In 2012 The catalans come to City and we've got people the Messi camp know well. In 2016 when he's getting done for tax evasion (unfairly in Messi's mind) we're there reminding him he's always welcome if he feels like a change.

So obviously when 2020 comes around he knows where he's going, and the decision is made long before Ed Woodward or Agnelli pick up the phone.

It's entirely possible that if not for the decade long charm offensive that Messi would not even be thinking about leaving Barcelona. City offered him an alternative to compare Barcelona to every time he was unhappy. A club where he knows and likes the people in charge, his best friend is playing next to him, the coach who shaped his career is leading him, the executives don't fuck about in political battles.

The idea the press are pushing that Juventus or PSG or United are in the race is a load of bollocks and those clubs all know it, the decision was made before that burofax got sent.
I wonder if he’d have come last year if we didn’t have the ban

Lionel Messi will make a U-turn on his Barcelona future and put pen to paper on a new three-year deal.

That’s according to former Premier League and England footballer Danny Mills, who told talkSPORT he expects the superstar to stay put.

Has there ever been a bigger wanker to put a City top on??
Why do people even listen to that leeching ****.

Probably because I’ve been going to City for so long, but there’s a part of me expecting to wake up to the news that not only is Messi staying but this has all been a charade and Pep is going back to them as well. He’s taken Kev, Raz and Bernardo and we’ve got Koeman as manager. Now that story would get us on the front page for a fortnight......

Playing with Messi and KDB must be the ultimate dream of any forward now. Ridiculous creativity.

Steve McManaman likes this.

So if I we take it that the latest reports about his contract are correct (e.g.below) andHthe release clause does not exist in his last season, how does that effect a transfer fee?

He is still registered as a Barcelona player at the moment so I assume he can get out of his contract by paying the value of his final year's contract to FCB, and hence there would be no fee payable by Man City to FCB but City might compensate the player?

It's difficult to wade through everyone's comments to find relevant views.
