Hence their desperation to get a fee for Messi.Remember Griezmann is on €800K per week but wasn't a guaranteed starter, his return for the season was 9 goals in total.
The more you dig up on Barça the more you realise they're in a ton of shit because of this board.
And they say 'more than a club'...It's an interesting contrast isn't it of the two clubs.
David Silva joins City, puts in performance after performance, winning titles and trophies, becoming a legend, cementing his place in the hearts and minds of the club and it's supporters and reciprocating that appreciation in return. Decides it was time to move on, the club honours his wishes and assists in providing David with the move that best suits him.
Messi? Barcelona treats him like shit, disrespects him and other players, falls out with manager and president alike over treatment, announces intention to leave club where he became a legend, club throws as many obstacles in his way and goes so far as to call Daddy La Liga to force him to stay. It's not the Barcelona I was led to believe!
Tag them.Lol I posted the same thing at the same time. Players must be looking at this and thinking screw that. I tell you what would be priceless, if Real commented saying they’d never treat their players that way... Barça would squirm big time.
I’m glad you’re not on the club board.I actually think if we can't get him on a free this season it may be beneficial to wait a year until we can. We can strengthen areas of the side that need addressing and clear out the dead wood. Hopefully the virus situation will be sorted by them and crowds back. Messi can then be announced along with a two or three year Pep extension, no battle with Barca and they will be forever known as the bad guys.
No dignity. And they say 'more than a club'...
Went to Barca’s stadium to do the tour on my mates stag weekend and was surprised how run down it looked then back then in the 90s . Went in the club shop and all the usual tat but what surprised me the most was a stand full of rag shirts. As long as they manage it. Would you rather have a club with Arsenal’s model or Barca’s?
I see you know very little of Barca’s financial situation and plight. Are you suggesting they are going to go bankrupt? What has been created at the Nou Camp has been magnificent, a model of club we have partly copied with great success as well. OK the cyclic nature of football has come home to roost but they will be back.
I am by no means comparing their structure to ours, which is clearly superior, but there are 100s of millions if not billions of football fans around the world who would loved their club to be like Barca. We are clearly not in that group! The issue with having short term presidents is that long term planning is forsaken. You may have watched Khaldoon talking about 5 and 10 year plans, for Barca planning is around the next presidential election. Also the gamble of having only two teams with any power, means the teams below are slowly becoming bankrupt, and have not the turnover to deal with the debt.
Sprinkle in a little bit of Tebas and you have a recipe for disaster.
They make the Glaziers look competent!I am by no means comparing their structure to ours, which is clearly superior, but there are 100s of millions if not billions of football fans around the world who would loved their club to be like Barca. We are clearly not in that group!
At the end of the day all good things come to an end but when it comes to big football clubs they eventually come back from disaster.
Yep, the only reason they were able to sign Griezmann and pay the money was because of those wages offered. Same with Frenkie, who is already on €450K per week, KDB's base salary isn't close to that.Hence their desperation to get a fee for Messi.
I’m glad you’re not on the club board.
