There are hundred reasons to come to us, but I just can't ignore thoughts of this igniting this whole rivalry with Ronaldo again, slower league might be appealing to him. Even it's just 5% chance, that's worrying. Really hope I'm wrong.
His father has already told PSG he will be going nowhere else but to City.

What about this? (Sorry if alt ready posted).

Bartomeu (September 2019): “Messi has a four year contract that we signed two years ago, and in the last year of his contract, the 2020/21 season, he has the option to leave Barça before the season starts.”

So, Mr Bartomeu, were you lying then or are you lying now?

I do not see the purpose of La Liga lying or misleading people. What influences matters is the contract itself, so what is the point in issuing a statement that is wrong? Unless it's interpretation?

Anyway what chance have we got of figuring this out if we don't have the contract and futhermore it's not the entire crux of the case anyway. If Messi wants out then barcelona have to address that. They either address his concerns or sell him.

Tbh if they win, the court will probably set his fee at about 50 million quid or more so if the alternative is zero, it might be worth it for them.

We could do with him playing v Wolves to unlock those dreadful, anti football, busparking fucks.
We might have to park the bus if Traore is healthy and playing....

You need to understand who runs La Liga and also their track record:

Summarise mate?
It depends how the contract is worded but worst case is he breaks his contract and waits for CAS to rule on what must be paid to Barca under Webster ruling but Barca shouldn’t want that as it’s will likely be 1 years wages and take years to get to that stage and thus Barca should negotiate.

as it stands Leo is trying his two options; claim that he can trigger the clause and let Barto acknowledge it, and leave with permission from the club. if this does not work he will trigger fifa's article 17, unilateral
termination of the contractual relationship. he would have to pay a fine for this (that could be paid by city)
