Might be just wishful thinking but surely his dad could just say nothing. He didn't need to speak to the reporter when he got out of the cab yesterday and didn't need to speak today. Feels like he knows what hes doing.

There is always a point having MESSI in your team even at 40 years old. He can be a good ambassador of the club. Well price/salary will be different at that age.

Well, if true, and right now its still a big if, then at 34 in a years time it will be too late, in my opinion.

Because he'll be 34. Let's be honest; if it wasn't Messi, there'd be a LOT of scepticism on here about buying a 33 year old. Another year older, he'll find it harder to get over routine injuries. And the PL is a lot more physical than La Liga. I wouldn't be keen on getting him next summer.

If this is really the case of him staying then this is a clear fucking win for Bartemau. This was not a common tantrum but a long thought decision of not attending the training and not going for the Covid test. Also according to TH, his team were the one that contacted City.
The fans may be happy( and that's fair) but Messi won't be looked good coming out of this if he has backtracked. After so much drama Bartemau is going to stay and he did make Messi stay as well.
It is a bit of a loss to City as well because though there is no credible news from our side about our interest, We were in for him and made all the efforts to create a future plan for him with City and other CFG clubs.
