That would still cost a huge amount as he's on €1m after tax, so that's at least €80m, probably closer to €100m, I would expect there is also a Spanish law that prevents this if a player has a buyout clause.

All Spanish employment contracts - even for the likes of you and me - have a buyout clause (from my understanding of managing HR for a previous companies office in Barcelona).
