maybe there has been last min contact that has changed the outcome of what is to be said? Who knows? not sure this Messi lad is in the full picture !!

If and it's a big if, that is what happens then Messi, no matter how great a player he may be is a massive **** of a human being.

If he says he is leaving and joining us he is a fucking God.
 
I just don’t get what Barcelona’s end game is in this. If he reluctantly stays and sees out his contract, a year of further decline of the squad, and in all likelihood no major trophies to speak of is only going to cement his desire to leave and come to us on a free next season and then your greatest ever player leaves with a bitter taste knowing he’s wasted 12 months of what is likely a very limited amount of time left at the very top and your left in the same situation only a year further on.

Barca’s best bet is to allow him to go this summer but ask him to allow them to ask for a reasonable transfer fee/player in return. Ordinarily we would be mad to agree to that from our point of view but this is Messi and times running out so I think we would be more than willing to vote the bullet. they save a years worth of his substantial wage and can still profit from commercial benefits from him as fans flock to buy commemorative merchandise and they can then use that to start the hefty rebuild that’s required anyway.

Their whole stance is backwards as hell, it’s really no surprise he wants out.

Big picture, Messi coming is a dream come true but it's not make or break for MCFC.

Tbf mate I’ve spent most of my time on these two threads enjoying the fun of it all. I never thought it was 100% happening but it’s been nice to dream.
The posters who’ve joined just to wum and take the piss are deserving of a bit of hostility.
I’ll be back this time next year to do it all again.. :-)
 
Doesn’t need a video to say I’m staying. That’s the kind of thing you do if you’re leaving and want to explain yourself to the fans
 
I hope Messi has to sit and watch City win the CL next season. Or at least get knocked out by us. You should have had bigger balls Leo.
 
I’ve still got everything crossed, but if you need an escape route Tolmie come to Llandudno....you can get your Covid Test done here ... and have a brew (in our garden)
