For anyone hoping that this motion of censure will make things move: I've read that if that happens the new board or interim board isn't allowed to make any big decisions for 3 months.

Alternatively get Messi to land a punch on Koeman in training. That would speed it up.
He's going into training, getting out a sun lounger, plonking himself down in it with a big fat cigar, nice cold beer to hand, and opening his copy of 'Mancunian For Dummies' while reading aloud from it to his teammates.

Barca are actively stopping Messi from leaving. If the new board aren't allowed to do anything he can leave. Just saying there is another way of looking at things. If Bartomeu can twist Messi's contract to read differently than intended then who knows.

What an utter mess they are.

Just watched the interview with Messi. I think he comes out of this with a great deal of respect. He has behaved pretty impeccably through this and would be a City player now had Barcelona had a president that had any honour. City have played this just right too. I would like to thank @tolmie's hairdoo for keeping us so close to this deal. It has been an exciting rollercoaster for sure. Hopefully we can complete our other business and continue to be competitive this season coming. The club is not perfect but I genuinely believe it is doing things in the right way and is run by good people with a strong ethos of honesty and professionalism.
I have always been proud to be a blue and am feeling that pride just a little more this morning. The greatest player in the world actively wants to join our club.

There is that. If City win the league next season which is quite possible if we sort the defence out we will be very well placed to make 1 addition a year at the very top level. Messi's wages would have been a very big pill.

Neither Mbappe or Haaland want City. As much as we have been successful, have Pep and lots of money, it still isn't enough for some to want to join us. Messi coming might change that.
