Angelino

Cancelo is OK defending with the man in front of him. He’s pretty quick and a surprisingly tenacious tackler.

He is not good when the ball is played behind or over him, that’s where he’s likely to get caught out.

His decision making is also bizarre & 1v1 he tends to fall for tricks too easily.

I've noticed he sometimes has a habit of dithering on the ball in dangerous positions ala John Stones.

But wheras Cancelo can work on it, Angelino isn't actually built to solve most of his weaknesses, which is why he can't play for City, unfortunately.

The latest claim was €25m permanent transfer. A page or two back. Think that is decent tbf. Wish he could have made it here, but pep doesn't seem to expect more
Still a loan, but this time with an obligation. Obviously need to wait to see what the final deal is, but as written in the following it's a pretty poor deal unless you're getting a huge sell on or something.

Never heard that one before. Wonder if it has something to do with pretty much never selling players we want to keep.
Lots of posters like saying we are bad, but never explain why. Unless they think we turn down better bids for players we sell. Then they point out big sales other teams have made but forget to point out they are the exception. Like chelsea's sales to China during that brief chinese fee boom.

Cancelo isn’t great defensively but he’s the best footballer (by quite some margin) out of all our full-backs. Zinchenko is decent too but he’s more of a midfielder.

No more loan deals, if they want him they'll have to buy him they've got money from the Werner transfer

Has anyone seen Ake play LB at the Nations League? How did he fair?

Defensively better than anyone we've had in living memory imo, considering the Dutch defence was as badly organised as ours.

But he's basic going forward & personally, I think it's a bad idea having centre backs running up & down the wing, as they are not built for it or used to it.

Not too concerned about the finances here. The club will know how much they need to bring in. Might have made the calculation that it's worth keeping Leipzig onside for the future, they are something of a talent factory.

£28m for ollie watkins a player only proven in the championship, and yet we're negotiating to sell angelino, a champions league team of the year player for €20m. nah fuck off

Welcome to the world of Txiki Begiristain.....a man who knows the grand total of SOD ALL

Don’t know why people are finding negatives here - this is what the buy and loan system is all about. Players do well and we flip for a profit, which pays for the rest and every now and then we find a diamond for the first team. This lad wasn’t the diamond but €20m is bloody useful.

I think the negatives are that as fans WE can see we need a new partner for Laporte, a dominant player, a player who is not only good already, potentially great, but can get better, and we are selling RB Leipzig a defender they want, for a fee, when we could give them money and get a player WE need for one THEY need and seem like we know what we are doing, instead of looking like the amateurs we are at this Transfer lark....a player Leipzig will lose next summer anyway (Upamecano) when Bayern or United come calling and pay his release fee, that kicks in next summer.
