I thought Tolmie had already said its both a combination of Raiola wanting millions and Haaland isn't actually that keen on joining us. So this is likely a non starter.

For some reason there is a rumour he is tied to Solskjaer.

That would be a strange one baring in mind his two advisors are very experienced football people.

He doesn't seem a nervous character who needs Ole's arm round him, so why would he be arsed about Solskjaer ?

Of course if Utd are looking like a successful side with a settled manager then they are an option for him, but so would be any other club with money, in a similar situation.

The winner will be the biggest payer & best at paying huge bribes. Which probably isn't City.

I think it may well be a combination of his respect for Ole, perhaps lack of confidence in his ability to come to City and play under Pep and the football that it demands.
The rags most likely to pay Raiola what he wants as well.

All players have someone they respect in their early days.

Will he go to Molde if Solskjaer gets sacked at the end of this season & goes back there ?

Just seems a ridiculous idea to me. If Utd pay enough, I'm sure they have a chance of signing him, same as us if we offered stupid money to bribe fatty.

The link is, they are both Norwegian. D'uh, that means he must only want to plat for Ole, obviously.

I imagine he would love to play for Ole, if he was on 400k pw & Utd were top of the league.

I bet he'd prefer even more for Ole to be as good as Pep & play for him then. Or play for actual Pep, with KDB & Sterling.

But I imagine he'd also be totally happy playing for Sam Allardyce & winning the League & Champions League with Real Madrid if that was possible.

I doubt he would have any reservations about joining a team that has been competing for every trophy for the past decade. This will be a financial decision by him, with the sporting part being a secondary concern. He will 100% sign for us IF we pay more than the rags and anyone else.

The problem is whether we are going the be so stupid to pass up on him because we have this picture in our head that Raiola is the boogeyman. For what it is worth, Raiola doesn’t harbour good relationships with the majority of boards, but some clubs can look past that.

Exactly - more chance of him joining utd than us due to his relationship with OGS - just hope he goes somewhere like Madrid or even Bayern rather than there cause he is a game changer.

Not sure a United will be in for him. United and their fans think Greenwood is the next big thing. They think he is primed to be their number one striker for years to come. Buying Haaland would hinder Greenwood’s progress.

That wouldn't stop them - and their fan base is probably the most fickle in all of football, they won't give two shits about Greenwood if they got Haaland

I’m not so sure. Of course it is very early days but Greenwood does look a great talent. Would we be happy if Pep bought a player that would result in Foden dropping down the pecking order. I wouldn’t I know that.

Didn’t he only move to Dortmund in January? Can’t see him moving until next summer at least

OGS has already met with Haaland and his reps according to Tolmie and there is a mutual desire for it to happen when its ready

Utd also seem willing to deal with Raiola - something we seem unwilling to do

Buying Halland wouldnt hinder Greenwood progress - they could sacrifice Rshford or Martial - or even have al 4 of them

I'm just going to pop my Messi shirt on before answering this question.

I hear you but I’m not convinced... let’s see.

Would you go somewhere your best mate worked because he's there ?

Or would you decide where to work based on other things, first and foremost ?
