Jules Koundé

According to Transfermarkt, Koundé is 1.84m, which equals 6 feet. Other sites claim 1.80m and even 1.78m. Seems very hard to find correct numbers.

I think Koulibaly would’ve been the best option for us, but if it’s not happening and Napoli want ridiculous money, then Koundé is definitely the best second choice if we compare with Diego Carlos or injury-prone Jose Gimenez. They both would have been awful for us. Koundé haven’t really convinced me just yet, but no doubt he’s the best right-footed alternative in the european market right now, after Koulibaly.

Rare to have that, it reminds me of Fernandinho in a way, not the tallest but an absolute freak when it comes to aerial duals, clearing up from corners or set pieces. If he's taller and already has signs of showing this level of quality, I can't imagine he will do worse under Guardiola. Would be happy with him if he's really a target.

I know fuck all about unlike everyone else on here apparently but I say let’s buy him as I’m bored to fuck off the transfer window.

Then I’ll call him a **** as soon as he misplaces his first pass and blame Txiki.

Its like when you're out shopping with the missus. You'll buy her anything to end the misery ;)

I've seen KK listed at 6'4 all over the shop, 6'5 on at least site or 2. He's larger than life apparently.

How is he any better than Garcia? I know they're just highlights, but he's as underwhelming as they come. I prefer an Eric Garcia one-year rental or just push our luck with THB, Adarabioyo or even Stones.

Would be fantastic if we did this. Id pay the £68m release clause for him in instant. £60m + Ota would do as well.

As much as I've wanted Koilibaly, this interests me and excites me more, for no apparent reason as I've only seen him play against Wolves, when he did impress.

Don't know how I feel about this personally.

He's shown he's got bags of talent, but he's still somewhat unproven and I think the whole idea around Koulibaly was to get a seasoned leader and help bring some experience to our backline.

If we are signing another 21 year old, I would be going for Upamecano simply down to the profile of player that he is - I think we are crying out for someone physically imposing, not another CB under 6ft.
Koundé is better

Weren’t there reports weeks ago of Txiki negotiating for a Sevilla defender?

Could be the 1 out of the blue signings???

Smoke & mirrors while we deal with the kid from Spain

He looks very comfortable on the ball also

I would say this is more of a Garcia replacement rather than Stones

Nico & Garcia to leave & Kounde & 1 other maybe to come in leaving Stones to fight for his place

Not seen enough of him to pass any real comment on his ability, but he certainly is much more the kind of profile we'd go for than KK. Be interested to see if ADL drops his price or if we do just sign someone else.
