Not for me at the highest (ECL & upper EPL) level. Hopefully Barca will come in with an appropriate offer.

Still very young for a cb. I don’t think he ready to be A starter. I wouldn’t be upset if we sold him, equally I wouldn’t be upset if he stayed and we see how he develops.

Looked ok today (more so in the second half) with an element of commanding the defense. Certainly looked better than previous outings - mind you he was up against Bournemouth.

Was the better CB tonight, although they both had issues.
I do think we take his age for granted; he's only 19. He's not going to be anywhere near ready yet, only the physical freaks tend to be ready in those positions at that age. Especially for a team as strong as ours.
Unfortunately for him I think he was far better suited to what we had in 18/19. A young 5th choice CB with 4 very strong CB options ahead of him. It meant his development could be taken nice and slowly and he'd never be put into high pressure scenarios that would be beyond him and costly for him to underperform in. Then last season after the restart he's now suddenly a starter and all his weaknesses are being exposed for the world to see. Combine all this with the recent revelation he's looking to leave, it's clear to see how opinions on here have soured.
If we sign another CB, and can have 3/4 top CBs to be available for when it really matters, his development can me managed and he can go back on track and progress the way that's best for him. His lack of build means that he probably won't hit the required standard until he's 21/22 at least. Although he's looking to leave, so unless Pep somehow convinces him to have a change of heart, what's the point?

Don’t get the hype. Definitely a player in there but letting him go will cost me not one second of sleep.
The player that's in there is most likely a def mid imo.
Hopefully Barca won't notice & he can fuck their defence up even more than it already is.

I really don't want to be that guy. We've all said stupid shit in the past. It's glaringly obvious what's happened here and it's pretty embarrassing. Before the summer he was a top prospect who was about to sign a new contract. Now he's past it. A defender for past eras.

Since he was unfairly promoted to the first team ahead of others, I think he's been total shit & he would never have played if he wasn't from Barca & Puyol wasn't his agent.
Harwood Bellis is younger has barely played for months on end & there is little to choose between them, even though Garcia has been a first team regular. He's nowhere near first team level at present, either.
Doyle & Delap were both better in their positions than Garcia tonight.
He has no right to have been fast tracked ahead of other kids, many of whom never even got 1 game for City.

I have to agree. I slag him off all the time because I just don't see it with him. I don't see where he's good at, I can't remember a single 'good' appearance from him. I don't think he'll ever become decent and I'll bite your hand off for 18m right now.
He's just not good at anything. He's short, unphysical and gets bullied in the air all the time, doesn't jump terribly high and isn't a dominant header of the ball. He's pretty slow, so in terms of physical attributes, he's got barely anything. Okay, plenty of great defenders didn't have the physicality on their side, so what? Well, he's just not a very good defender. He makes basic errors constantly, reacts VERY SLOWLY to everything that's going on, doesn't know where to position himself. I just don't see a single quality of his that I can say "That's special".
Compare him to foden, same age, promoted around the same team. Foden? Best player on the pitch tonight. In fact, best player on the pitch most times he play.
garcia? One of the worse.
What tipped you off?Garcia looks like he doesn't want to be here.

You're literally missing the entire point which is this is absolutely NOT "overnight". Who the hell said he was baresi before? I've been criticising him for months.
