I will hence forth call him a ‘parasite’, as it is the best, simplest way to describe his relationship with the world. At best he lives off the scraps of everyone else. At worst — and much, much more often — he syphons off the health and wellbeing of everyone else for his own gain (even his ‘supporters’).

‘****’ is a wholly misleading term for Trump.

An accurate way of describing Trump would be to say he is a parasite. More specifically, a racist, misogynistic, genocidal, fascist, psychopathic parasitic organism occupying a body that is not *entirely* aware he is slowly killing it.

Have you ever considered that he may genuinely be mentally ill? I suspect he may be off the spectrum and I don’t think a medical term exists for him.

he’s provided a few laughs along the way but it’s time for him to be sectioned.

A medical term may not but a remedy does under the 25th Amendment — as if any of his taint-gobbling sycophantic toadies in the Cabinet would ever dream of utilizing it.

Too far gone.

If they act now, and the full truth of his illness is revealed, they will have to answer for why they didn't act sooner when they clearly knew all along.

It won't be seen as 'This president is mad. How can we stop him?'; it will be seen as 'He's killing us in the poll's,. How can we get rid of him?'.

I for one would be happy with him being removed for any reason.
 
It's like watching a car crash in slow motion.

We can see all what's about to happen. An election Is going to be decided by judges appointed by the current incumbent to elect him based on a false premise Trump's been telling us for years he's going to do. When re-elected Barr will be laying down the ground rules to challenge the two term rule. People think US democracy is fucked now, ain't seen nothing yet.

We can talk in the UK because it's happening here on the quiet. Our government has been passing legislation without restraint to increase their authoritarian power. Brexit and Covid have managed to bury most of it. A secret crimes bill has just passed and the next will be titled something about constitutional reform which will change parliamentary powers for the worse and MP constituencies that suit them.

Me too, but I don't think Republicans are going to do it. Given it takes a two-third vote in both houses, there is a pretty slim to no chance of it happening unless a number of high profile Republicans see their political careers going down with the SS Trump, in which case it's a maybe.

It's probably too late now though. I think the best time to jump ship was a year out from the election. Every single one of them who stuck with Trump is pretty much tainted for life, even considering the fickle world of US politics.

Sadly I think it's a given that he won't be ousted. I know his rhetoric is alarming to say the least but I hope that despite the extremists on both side of the political divide being the loudest voices and obviously given maximum media coverage, that the shall we say less radical elements of the voting public are in the background in much larger numbers overall. If that is the case then we shall see which way the majority votes. Let's hope for a bit of sanity returning to US politics.

@SebastianBlue see the eternal optimism in my post. :-)

Well, when you are pretty much the smartest, most caring, not to say successful and richest guy on the planet you will attract some envy and people want a piece of what he's got. He's obviously right to be wary.
