Arsenal in 2003 1-5, we were 4-0 down after about 20 minutes.

Not so sure, he looks lost and frustrated. Probably needs a break from football. Continuing to play poor footballers like Mendy when most of us think he’s the worst left back we’ve ever had, and we’ve seen loads, tells you somethings not quite right.

It’s bad cos left back could be considered a problem area for us for much of the past 25 years. Clichy I liked, he had some good seasons, some bad, kolarov too, many on here considered LB to be a problem with those two. Stuart Pearse was past his best when here. Tarnat wasn’t bad. But do we have to go all the way back to Terry Phelan?

To say say Mendy is worse than Michael Ball says a lot.anybody considered worse than Ball should be nowhere near or squad

Yep cant disagree. Really deflated with alot of our recruitment in recent years. I'll never warm to Mahrez, wrong attitude and work rate for me. Rodri needs to start performing instead of talking shite off the pitch and Mendy is just an embarrassment now tbh. I'd be quite happy to see the back of them 3 atleast.

I'm interested to know why you think we won't struggle for top 4 ? IMO its going to be a real battle. Arsenal, Rags and maybe Everton will be knocking on that Champs league door.

Well rags will be no where near top 4 if you think they are better then us then you really are something. Liverpool is the only one i can say for sure will be in top 4. All other you mentions have horrible defense like is. Spurs are crap and concede goals, same as Chelsea,rags, even arsenal. Everton and Leicester do not have the squad depth imo to go the whole season.I don’t think we will struggle for top 4 but we will struggle to win the league.

He didn’t see much of the ball today, Mahrez started on the right, this is where Phil has arguably been his most effective, cutting in with pace and picking killer passes. Playing him on the left nullified today. No killer passes from wide right today with Mahrez occupying there.

I want to know in what way is Bernardo and Sane immense? Bernardo has 1 good season in 3 years and he is hardly getting picked. The same with Sane. If he was so immense, why was he dropped? Walker is nowhere near immense. He is a reliable fullback but there is always a brainfuck with him.

Surely he’s had enough chances now. His defensive abilities are non existent. He’s overrated going forward. 9 out of 10 of his crosses go nowhere near the intended target

The only positive is that he appears to have cut back the ballooning on social media.. but concentrating more on his game hasn’t improved it.. in fact it’s got worse

I’d agree and say he’s gotten worse, he’s not pushed on he’s just got comfortable and very complacent. He doesn’t look like an elite athlete, he’s looks like a giddy lad who can’t wait for the pints after the game.

This Diaz fella is coming at the right time then. All the reports state he's an out and out leader and he looks pretty decent from his highlights. Can only be a plus.

Some would call us bitter. Or even berties.

Some can call us what they want and that won’t change, the lads can come out and give certain answers but we need to be learning from this. This style of play was evident every 4 games last season. We had a wobble Christmas time the season before. The writing has been on the wall for some time, we’re not learning the lessons and addressing the problems. For 30 mins today we were in complete control, then all of a sudden took our foot off the gas instead of going on to smother Leicester. We took of Ferni, maybe he’s only capable of x amount of mins right now, so I’m not critiquing Pep here for the change. But it allowed them to grow into the game, 3 poor defensive errors handed them the win.

Maybe we should teach some of the “tackling,” because those were three of the softest, stupidest penalties I’ve seen in a good long while!

That result has put the cat amongst the pigeons for the big Pep vs Bielsa match up on the horizon!

How many years in and STILL no Plan B? Unless, of course, Plan B is put a big 17 yr old and then don’t cross the ball to him?!

Next week, we should play Sterling! I hear he’s world class!

3 - Garcia mistake by touching Vardy
4 - Garcia mistake not closing down Maddison
5 - Mendy mistake by touching Maddison

1 Walker does this now and again but comes back stronger
2 Garcia wants out ... so fuck off

Kyle does have a wobble in him every now and then. But he generally does come back stronger, he’s stopped giving the ball away so much trying to break down the right, and his recovery pace is incredible, his physically is something that if the rest to try match, we’d instantly be harder to get at. Many give hi, a hard time but he’s often our most consistent defender, some would say it would take much right now but he’s also involved making runs and occupying opposition in most of our attacks too. I think he’s a beast. Today he was with one eye on the right sided player while vary come acreoss him. Was just bad luck, I thought Garcia should be shuffling over to provide support for that one. Garcia was gash today, let him go now as he clearly doesn’t want to be here
