We are a 1 man team. If KDB gets injured its curtains.this.
and also double pivot at homemeans little creativity.
Quality of players is the issue.
feel like a one man team with de bruyne
And coaches that have assembled their squads for far less than what Pep has spent. So what does that say about Pep, our coaches and recruitment staff?
Coaching Negative, defensive, counter attacking football is way easier than positive, take the game on football.Pep is getting outdone by coaches of a lot less ability than Rodgers
I think this is what I find irritating. Everyone knows how Leicester will play, we all know their attack is quicker than our defence yet we give them half a pitch to run into. It's last season all over again, in fact we are worse than last season!
The defending was abysmal, but even the best defenders in the world would struggle when they are expected to defend from the half way line every match. It's alright blaming the players, and many were awful, but it's the tactics that are at fault.
We can't keep playing the same tactics every game. After a couple of seasons teams get to know how to play against you. At the moment, they know to sit back, defend in numbers, and hit us on the break. Football is ever changing, and you need to evolve and adapt to be successful.
I'm afraid it is time for a clear out, and a fresh start, even if it means getting a new manager.
So one game every three weeks will make you match fit ? I think you're grasping at straws. We just need to find a very good left back, doesn't have to be world class, just be able to defend properly, make accurate short passes and make a few decent crosses.Mendy should only be playing in the Carabao Cup games. That would build up more match sharpness with less pressure

That’s kind of my point though. Lesser coaches and lesser squads are capable of and with more frequency are starting to find us out. There trophy cabinet may not compare but they’re able to effectively play against us. So an extension of my point is if they were in charge at City and had access to the same resources and players that Pep has had, might we be better placed, have won more and be able to change/adapt. I don’t know the answer to that.Nothing...why? They have won fuckall. Assemble all they want. Ask them to compare trophies.

Just because we have had a period of success with Pep should not mean that he is immune to criticism.
Personally, I think questions should and need to be asked. This is not one match in isolation. It needs to be seen in the context of what I think is an alarming pattern of results (even just looking post lockdown) Chelsea, Southampton, Arsenal, Lyon and now this one against Leicester.
So? next time tell them to stay home and mail them 3 pts?Rodgers had a full preseaon and no injuries
Whilst I agree with the sentiment of your post, in 17/18 and 18/19 Pep created the greatest side British football has ever seen. That , by definition, is never sustainable for long periods. It was not just "a period of success" in the sense that Liverpool are having now, for example.
Those seasons will echo throughout English football history with the records we set.
The old Sheik down.I dread to think what will happen to the forum If the dippers sign Koulibaly this week....
It’s unfortunate that teams make us pay top dollar for their players when other teams seem to get them for bargain prices...
Bulbs? Think one game we’ve been average and in decline for a year.

The squad on Sunday is the point. How does that squad concede 5. Look at the cost of the defence alone. 3 full internationals. And yes in decline. If you think we are anywhere near previous levels you’re deluded. No intensity, no power or pace. Lost sane and silva in same season have we replaced them with similar levels of class talent? Lost 9 last year. That’s called decline surely you see thatAverage!??
In decline!?
we had a trophy winning season!? If you think we’re going to win everything always and then because we don’t, label that as average, you’re clearly the epitome of bulb!
BULB
“General term for well meaning but unreliable person, often intelligent but prone to lapses in concentration and brain function.”
Last season the scousers were exceptional. This year we will need to be. Addressing our issues in the transfer market is the right way to rectify.
Look at the squad on Sunday. Assess the non exist at pre-season.
we will have another good season, hopefully a great one.
