Am I correct in saying he's a member of the Democrat party or at least has some affiliation? He says that he has voted for both parties previously.
Joe Scarborough called him a moderate Republican on morning Joe. His Wiki says he was a democrat member for pragmatism and he’s quoted as saying he votes for the person, not the party.

Trump isn’t a politician. That’s the ticket he got in on in 2016. Supposedly his business acumen was what was going to change America.

He’s living off the taxpayer in America. Has tried to turn the presidency intro his private fund by the looks of things.

He is not a politician. He is a vile human being. Whatever Biden is or isn’t, his biggest asset in the run up is that he is not Trump. He can be diplomatic. He can empathise with people.
Trump is a sociopath. Maybe not the first to hold that office. I really don’t know, but I can’t think of anyone less presidential.

Indeed, all this is true and I keep asking what it was that allowed this kind of character to sit in the hot seat.

No doubt if this conundrum isn't solved, we'll be back here with a smarter version of #45.

I'm just stunned the US has allowed itself to be railroaded to going back to the type of status that allowed the entry of #45 in the first place!

I fear you are correct.
Can he get away with the same tactics as last time having been in office for the last 4 years nearly and having presided over the Covid mismanagement.

You would imagine Biden should be ready for it but can he live with that kind of bullying.

So, I've been thinking about this particular question today and he has a couple of outs if he's smart enough to use them. The interesting thing is I don't think the tax evasion goes against him as much as some think. In fact, it makes him more 'ordinary', on the grift/ grind, making things happen as his version of the 'American Dream'. This is why he was touted as the famous businessman.

I just don't think the tax thing hurts him as he used the system to the fullest and claiming the amount back that he got away with is astounding. But these are things that are done at all levels. I mean show me a person that wouldn't cheat the taxman if they could and have? He's just used laws made permanent by the Obama-Biden Admin.

It's 'Frankenstein's Monster' they helped create and they're fighting now.

The other thing is the 'Platinum Plan' that came up the other day. I know a lot of well known Black Dems are calling it shit(they would), but to the ordinary Black business owner/ voter, their heads are turning and listening cos shit ain't happened for them in 60 years. 40% of Black businesses have closed due to COVID and unlikely to re-open. That's a big thing and it's him that's made an offer to listen to that other Admins have done very little about.

Not even a Black president has bothered in this regard!

Whether it's just more shyte and pandering doesn't matter at this point to sections of society as they've been here already.

I'm sorry, but I think this run really is more open than many think.

I'm not sure I catch the Trumpist argument that Biden is such an old feeble unfit man that he can no longer function but at the same time he's fit enough to listen in to an earpiece or memorize the questions and all his answers in advance.

I would have thought having someone in your ear rattling of things all night would make it harder to perform well. We'll see...
I can only speak of the many voices I hear in my head, but they’re certainly off putting.

The BBC were saying there are probably only going to be about 60 people present for the debate. That'll be a bit different from having two cheer squads in.

You keep asking Bigga but I think that you have been accurate and forthright in your opinion of how this has happened. Disenfranchised American public given fresh, albeit it would seem false hope of a new direction. Strip away all the political BS and I will deliver you the American Dream. I could expand but you have done it far more eloquently already. I may be wrong but I think that a lot of flak that you cop on here is because you have stuck to your beliefs in pointing out the societal flaws but at the same time failing to acknowledge just how bad the alternative has turned out to be.

Cheers for that.
Which US channel is it on? Just wondered in terms of who would be moderating it.
Last time was it 3 tv debates, one with a panel of journalists and the other 2 with a single host??

CNN etc are covering the debate at the same time as the re-run of City's game v Leicester is being shown on the Yankees channel. Do I watch the first five minutes and switch over or stay for the whole humiliation?

I’m from the UK and, new to the conversation, I’m unsure of where you sit in this but, from my perspective abroad, Trump is a busted flush. Biden is not the answer to all the US ills but he is a far better candidate than Trump.

Stay and watch the whole humiliation. You can always catch the City match another time.

That's where you're wrong, Doc.

I acknowledge fully how desperation allowed the Wolf in the door.

I also keep asking the question because the NeoLibs on here keep avoiding the truth.
