Just seen that, how the hell is a player of unproven quality with no prem experience being sold for 23.5m??Sheffield united singing Jordan Ibe 2 for 23.5m from dippers today.

His full name is Rhian Brewster Who.Think you mean Rhian Brewster. But yeah very good fee that and they have a buy back clause and sell on clause.
He doesn't need to be redundant. He can play in midfield as well as LB.
Sign the player and let Zin decide if to hang on or take an offer elsewhere (even loan) now or in winter window.

You're kind of right.
We didn't have one glaring error, we had 2. We bought Rodri to fix the first one and then we made a balls of the defensive line by putting Dinho in there.
As a result, we ended up with 3 issues. Suddenly we were terrible at centre back and our left looked a lot weaker.
So, let's assume Ake and Dias coming in fixes the first issue, that doesnt neccessarily mean we fixed our first error.
Rodri has to deliver massively and the signs so far say he isn't up to it without a second DM in there.
His comments post Leicester should terrify us, basically moaning that we didn't try kill that game by constantly passing in the back once 1-0 up. That's against the entire ethos of Pep ball and you wonder why he'd openly say that. He hasn't fit yet, so for me we still have a glaring issue there.
Let's not forget also that our left back issue generally isnt one if Fernandinho is in there. Zinchenko and Delph have played great in there. You take Dinho out, Rodri doesn't give them anywhere close to the support.
So yes, Dias if he fits in goes a long way to helping, but it would be foolish to think we don't still have issues.
TBF he did well for Swansea for the latter half of last season, 10 goals in 20 games plus he's homegrown and had 3 years left on his contract.Just seen that, how the hell is a player of unproven quality with no prem experience being sold for 23.5m??

He's pulled this shit before.
When? Do you mean when he turned down the chance of joining Wolves and wanted to fight for his place here? When he went on and played plenty of games and turned in some really good performances? That shit? Our fault for giving him a fat contract. He's pulled this shit before.

Swansea though? I get the potential, but 23m.......? c'mon.TBF he did well for Swansea for the latter half of last season, 10 goals in 20 games plus he's homegrown and had 3 years left on his contract.
Did he really play a big role though? You yourself have said that our success with Zinny at left back proves we don't need a good left back!Last time he "pulled this shit" he spent 6 months in the starting LB role and played a big role in winning a bunch of trophies.
Excuse my ignorance but what was the post-Lyon comment? I’ve seen mention on here a couple of times but don‘t know what was said.I wonder what his motivation behind this is? He can't seriously think he's gonna hold down a spot at LB. Even if Mendy and Cancelo are injured Ake is going straight in there. He's always seemed like a loyal kinda guy and maybe he's desperate to work his way back into Pep's good backs after his/his wife's comment post-Lyon but it's clear his time is up and he needs to move on for the sake of his own career. Plenty of places he could go and carve out a decent career in midfield. Or is he content doing a Danny Mills for a few years?
The problem being is that he is at a club where he is unlikely to get better treated or paid. He probably is settled where he lives and has once before sat out a transfer and been brought back into the fold, playing a considerable number of games. He is redundant though as they absolutely do not rate him as a midfielder. Plus look at the options ahead of him - Gundo, Kev, Foden, and Bernardo.
Personally I would sit him in the stands and shrug my shoulders, but as we know well Pep hates nothing more than "sad faces".

Last time, we probably didn't need him to leave to bring someone else in. Mendy was just coming back from an ACL and we failed to sign a midfielder, so Delph was used there a little. It wasn't the end of the world to keep him around. But there's not room for him and a new left back now.
In that case let's just accept that we can't replace a player who's clearly not up to it. Because according to you, a handful of good performances mean he can sit out the next 4 years of his deal to "fight for his place" and nobody can question it.When? Do you mean when he turned down the chance of joining Wolves and wanted to fight for his place here? When he went on and played plenty of games and turned in some really good performances? That shit?
the 6 or is it 9 easy points must be worth a few bobJust seen that, how the hell is a player of unproven quality with no prem experience being sold for 23.5m??
