You're bigging up Dias like he's some VVD (Hope he is) he hasn't played a fucking game for us yet and he's not even the 1st choice Pep wanted.

Ake again will be squad rotation, I'll agree he's better than Ota.

We have a 35 year old Fernandinho still playing a major part in our side.

Aguero is a crock and will miss many games

Silva not replaced (don't give me the Foden bollocks)

We're left with 1 LB and continue to use a midfielder / RB as cover

But ye we're stronger than last year haha.

Won't convince you because you have no intention of considering any other point of view. No matter how sensible and obvious it is we've rectified some if not most of last seasons short comings.

Bravo for Steffan is an improvement.

Otamendi for Ruben potentially a big improvement.

Added Ake as a Laporte backup, big improvement. Ferna and Garcia just aren't as good as Ake (in that position)

Lost Silva.

Sané for Torres, sane didn't play last year so has to be an improvement.

Weaknesses left back, would have liked Aouar in for Gundogan and I feel Mahrez for all his technical ability just doesn't work for the team enough.

Notably missing Messi.

6 out of 10 but maybe 7 after the players have settled.

Your best bet is to look on the bright side and see that the window gone is positive and we've made good additions, whatever's lacking can be fixed for now, although I'll agree for left back. We score 100+ goals last season and Aguero didn't even play regularly, if he manages to stay fit this season it is only a big plus. We will be fine in midfield and attack.

Us not winning the league won't come down to lack of additional signings. There's 36 games to go so much can happen.

If your concern is CL then adding 2-3 more players wouldn't have guaranteed us that either. It's not as easy. Bayern were the team looking lost even before wanting Sané in and other signings. But they managed to win CL, depends if you can get the right balance and your key players remain fit. Not as simple.

Don’t agree with what? That we haven’t improved central defence, that we haven’t improved our attacking options,? It would be nice if we could have improved a couple of other positions but we’ve improved those most pressing areas.Or do you think our defence , reserve keeper and wide forwards are all weaker than last season?
I’ll throw in as well, though it might be debateable I think midfeild has improved because KDB and Foden or Bernardo will have more energy than KDB and Silva gave us last season.

That is poor attitude imo, should always be positive when a large chunk of season is yet to be played out. Patience shouldn't run thin this early into season, you'll do yourself no favors.

Without question we have improved but have we still missed an opportunity to improve way beyond our rivals? I have investments in Liverpool and have heard from people there that the dippers only spent when we seemed to hesitate and then didn’t get Messi? They expected more and have plunged to keep themselves ahead of us

Struggling to see how we are not stronger, we could have been even stronger if we had bought Messi and Aouar as an example but from last season our squad is stronger.

We had no backup for Laporte last season, we had no RCB that Pep wanted to put on the pitch unless it was Fernandinho or a teenager. We have resolved both of them. We had no out and out winger other than Sterling, we have fixed that.

We have or will have moved out most of the deadwood in the team to reduce wages and get some cash in.

Silva, a tough one as he is a legend but his legs were gone last year. Someone like Foden simply being available for every game is again a strength. Silva had to play last year pretty much despite the problems it caused, we don't have to do that now.

Ake is a backup lcb we didn't have last year

And Torres has replaced the injured Sane

That is already an improvement without Steffan for Bravo.

Granted we've lost Dave but he would have been a bit part player this year so improved we are like it or not.

Think thats nonsense they were in for Thiago all summer, Jota was the only addition after Messi.Even if true it would be a stupid way to plan a transfer window.

Definitely stronger than last season,whether that's enough? I dont think it will be to topple the Dippers,but we should grab a trophy again.

The reality is....we are in a rebuilding phase and it may take another season or two to get back on top.

He's not wrong on Foden tho, has yet to play in the David Silva role. Should stop taking Pep word for word, maybe he has different plans for Foden this season.
