Lots of variables at play.

No actual striker up top, especially Jesus pressing was missing.

Ferran hasn't meshed with the squad yet, he didn't have a great game on the right, I think he needs to play on the left more and be tested as the striker instead.

Alot of the squad is out, and we are playing every 3 games so tiredness is coming in, especially against Leeds who press like Liverpool it was always going to be tough.

That is off the top of my head. It's why I'm not mad, and also this season just feels weird to me coming off all the covid stuff, I don't feel the same, maybe players have changed a bit over the past 5 months too.

Shafted? Oh ffs come on. Play well for 25 min, go aghead and look like we're bossing it. Then play wank for the rest of the game, concede, maybe lose, have shite load of wank shots missing them all, game over. Its the same every fucking week and has been for a year.
 
International break has come at a good time. Need Aguero back big time. We was brilliant first half and second half we stopped playing/pressing. It’s almost as if they don’t back themselves to play like that all game anymore like we used too
 
No left back, no forward, no chance this season. Our finishing is awful. Sterling clean through and failed to get a shot on target sums us up. We may have some better defenders but our team shape is all over the place and there’s obviously no belief in that team. At no stage did it look like we were winning that despite late pressure.

Pretty clear Pep is off in the summer and based on our start we won’t make top 4. We rely entirely on KDB who was poor tonight. This team needed an overhaul and we sat on our hands. Think back to the 2015/16 season, that’s where we’re headed.

The brutal truth is that they are a lot better than us atm. Better players, better squad, better manager and better recruitment. Its a fucking disgrace that we have allowed it to happen with the momentum and starting position we had.
 
In spite of the stats I felt they were the better team until the last 10 mins.

I'm increasingly of the opinion that Pep is done. We keep playing to our weaknesses. How the hell Mendy is starting games is beyond me.
 
Bernardo did great when he came on. Mendy is shite and needs fucking off. Dias had a decent debut. Still not seeing what Torres brings to the party. Anyone else notice some worrying body language from KDB? Think we need a left back and centre forward before the window closes. I suspect top four is our target for this season.

He worked his bollocks off mate and if there’s one player in this City that would come up with a bit of magic, it’s him. It’s not his fault that he’s the only consistent creative outlet in the team. All I want from our players is fight and desire and he does exactly that.

Fucking scared of spending on top players that's what's happening. Not just this season, but last year too. If you buy average players you end up average.

And Mendy is done. Sure he cut inside a few times and then ran well with the ball, but then gave it away every time. Even in the build up to our goal, he played it straight to an oppo. Defensively a liability as always.

I was watching Walker near the end with some great sliding interceptions, showing a bit of anticipation, and I tried to remember Mendy ever doing the same. Also trying to remember the last time he stopped a cross. It's all well and good saying that he does well going forward or he hasn't made any mistakes, but that's what we expect from some academy player, not a £50m fullback.

On a positive note, Dias looked class. This is definitely one game that can't be blamed on the defence. The midfield completely failed to control the game and the less said about the forward players the better. It was classic Sterling though. Score a great curling shot from the edge of the area, but go to pieces when you're one-on-one with the keeper.
 
Just want to put this out there, but can you imagine the amount of pressure Foden is under. We arnt going into the transfer market because Foden is the heir to David Silva that sentence alone would put so much pressure on him. Basically saying we arnt going into the market because you are good enough to replace a Legend of this club. Hes 20 years old
