Of course he was furious - who likes being hooked? I suggest you go back and look at the Match Thread around the time of the substitution. It's not a perfect barometer as there is a lot of hyper-ventilating there, but it reflects the general sentiment of the game and the vast majority of folks were bellowing for Fernandinho to be taken off. Leicester's goals came from schoolboy defending by our back 4. Which one of those would Fernandinho have prevented?
In fairness if we took off everyone that folk on the match day thread demanded taking off every week -win or lose - we’d be left with just Ederson

There's some truth in that, but if you filter out the extreme hyperbole, you do get a sense for the way the game is going. If you prefer, watch the game back and Fernandinho was having less and less influence on things from around the 20th minute or so. He was mostly a onlooker by the time he was hooked.

How can we not go for Telles? 20m is nothing. He is quality.

It's hard to filter out 90% haha. In all honesty I was convinced it was the right decision - I was wrong like most others

He is not as good as people are making out to be. Especially not defensively, not our needs. Need a more all rounded full back like Tagliafico or Alaba or someone.

No deal with one day to go... its clear to everyone we needed a LB and a CM (like Gundogun) who can dictate play from mid field.

Well, the positive is, Aké did not seem that bad a full back. And Gündogan will be fit again, post this break. No point in hoping with a day to go yeah.

I wonder if they see an injury issue with left back again, whether they'll look at someone within the league, because Prem and EFL can do business till 16th.

When did we last go to the league for a player who actually plays in the first team?

Don’t think premier league to premier league transfers are allowed, only EFL to premier league.

What are you basing this on?

His numbers are staggering for a fullback. Regardless though, none of us know how well he will do for them. But United have essentially made a risk free signing bringing him in especially considering they're paying less than half his actual market value. It really does beg the question are we actually looking for a LB or are we content with Mendy? For the price of Telles, it seemed like a no brainer.

He gets injured too, he did it last season also. Plus he isn’t clinical enough.
Well you can’t have 3 just in case 2 get injured at the same time unless you want a squad of 33. While there’s an argument Jesus is’nt clinical enough there’s also one the team score more when he plays.
You try and convince a quality striker to come when we have Aguero and Jesus. There’s a reason no other team has 3 frontline centre forwards in their squads. We are lucky to have 2.

To the team that slapped us last week. Let's see, likely won't happen.
Leicester were premier league champions we can only do business with the lower divisions anyway.

Your right though it won't happen.

Our squad is nowhere near what it needs to be to seriously compete this season.

Not sure where we have been recruitment wise over the past 3 seasons other than asleep at the wheel.
