Players drained and a lot of injuries you say.....I still see the situation more different as I think that the team in Munich offered more tactical possibilities to your team that often were decisive in the end. And Pep really used this possibilities even of some of the players weren't "his choice" of players.
When I watch your matches I do not see this tactical different plans. So your Plan A might even be better.
Our players end of the season 15/16 really were drained - you saw that at the Euros, too. After the four to five years before not really surprising. Not just because of Pep but we had a lot of injuries and the key players seldom had rests.
Isn’t hindsight a lovely thing because you guys were in denial he was leaving and to a man , you didn’t want him to leave.I still see the situation more different as I think that the team in Munich offered more tactical possibilities to your team that often were decisive in the end. It wasn’t a dig at you at all.No. I did not want him to leave. We were playing a beautiful brand of football and the only thing that I really hated were his cautious approaches in the Champions League away matches. He had our team changing tactics and structures in seconds in the match and that usually worked out fine.
But you can analyze advantages and disadvantages, too. It is easier in retrospect. And easier when you have a manager like Flick who did wonders last season after two managers that did not match to this team at all. Tactically Pep wins - in manmanagement Flick does.
But right now I enjoy Aston Villa vs Liverpool...
Odds pretty small he will renew , we would have had him locked in by now I suspect if he was.pep is sounded and looked beat down in his post match presser, think he'll take a break after the season. hes struggling for solutions on the pitch
I don't know why he would lie though. He said he wants to extend but he wants to earn it, now if we win a few trophies (including PL or UCL), wouldn't it be weird for him to leave?Odds pretty small he will renew , we would have had him locked in by now I suspect if he was.

All this "Pep's Centurions!" etc is disappointing because it was so long ago. Last season, we had the disaster of Liverpool winning the title and only lifting the league cup ourselves. This season has seen Leicester put five past us at home.
I guarantee the man who hurts most out of all is Pep himself. Just one minor pot this season may not be enough. It's a decline. I want the Champions League. I want to see my club win the top prize. Is that wrong?

Pep is the best manager we've ever had.
And one of the best ever.
Ok last season wasn't the best but remember the football we played to get 100 points its the best I've seen..and let's remember who we are let's not turn into rags and think we have a right to win trophies.
No one does.
Remember how amazing the last few years have been.
And if it goes a bit tats up so fucking what.
I've seen more than I ever dreamt of.
I hope pep stays for years and years.
As long as he's here we will finish above the rags.
And that's enough for me
