Just reading these proposed new restrictions they can fuck right off. Shutting everything in an area classed as red zones including gyms, non professional sport, shops and salons. I hope to god people stand up to this somehow. I've been compliant from day 1 but they can do one now as far as I'm concerned. Absolute pricks.

Also seen it in a restaurant last night. Older couple came in with no masks, half heartedly pulling there jacket up over there faces but leaning in and lowering it to talk to the waitress. Saw it again today in a cafe in whaley bridge Literally everyone else respected the rules.

I think what she did was worse than what Cummings did . I think the political response from their leaders was far worse in the other direction with Johnson trying to excuse Cummings and say there was nothing wrong whereas Sturgeon has immediatley heavily criticsed her , removethe whip and begun proceedings to chuck her out of the party.

The data about gyms in Liverpool might be in the local track and trace information that wouldn’t be available nationally.Where is this data? Gyms opened months ago and infections continued to fall unaffected. If they have data then I will say fair enough and take it on the chin, they have not presented any at all so they can piss off. Hospitality is linked to 3-5% of new cases in the data presented. Until they tried to make their own and said 30% in a study that conveniently was never verified.

Yes, I can the old, plus those with medical conditions, some with medical conditions they may not be aware of, so we protect all these, then we have those that care for these people and live with these people.FFS is been said who is vulnerable from day 1. If you're willing to accept these restrictions based on limited or no data then surely you can accept who the vulnerable are based on the thousands or articles detailing this.

The Government are not taking measures for shits and giggles, nor to piss the North of England off.
They have no obligation to detail to the nth degree as to why and what constraints are deened necessary in trying to reverse the trend, nor do I believe it would be accepted by some.

If your main gripe is gyms potentially being made to close, then in the scheme of things, that is small beer imo.I agree with your first point in that we are heading in the wrong direction, but they do have an obligation to explain why they are shutting things such as gyms that are important to so many people at the moment. They have been opened long before we started going in the wing direction and are just an easy target with no reasoning. Everyone knows the main spread is households, universities and households they are closing things that won't cost them the most. I would imagine gyms don't employ many people, the independent one I go to certainly doesn't, the PTs have their own clients and that's how they get paid. They actually pay to be able to train people in the gym so will ask be entitled to nothing.
