Oliver Dowden is against Football stadiums reopening but went to the Royal Ballet.

Now I am not saying he is wrong in saying football stadiums should not reopen, its the rank hypocrisy of him going to the Ballet whilst saying it. Its the normal anti working class stance of the Tories. Against working class pursuits whilst enjoying pursuits normally you would associate with the upper classes.

You are absolutely right, this is a class decision and not one based on science. Surely being in a football stadium spread out in no more of a threat than walking down a busy market street on Saturday.

A football stadium has a much higher capacity than any theatre and is also outdoor.

The Tories have hated Football fans since Thatcher, the restrictions we endure are totally different to those who go to Rugby Union. The working class football fan cant have a beer whilst watching the match, the upper class hurrah Henry Rugger fan can be legless, snorting coke, shouting sexist and racist abuse and still be allowed a beer whilst watching rugger and both games can take place in the same stadium.

As always with the Tories its a class thing, they are anti working class.

They are also the reason football has become gentrified. I am fortunate to be able to go as it's just me I pay for as I have no kids etc (before the pandemic) but I feel for parents having to fork out for an entire family to watch the games.

Safe standing has been a viable option which could be a win / win solution to all involved but the tories choose to ignore proposals.

Just been chatting to a mate of mine who’s a body language expert. Watching a politician you look at the expressions and gestures over what a politician is actually saying. She reckons Patel is a psychopath. At first the expert thought smirking from announcing bad news was a defence mechanism. She then realised that her whole face smiles. That’s a sign of taking pleasure from whatever she’s saying.

With all the bullying and harassment allegations going quiet on her that analysis really wouldn’t surprise me.

Having said that he said it was really interesting that the Bolshoi went 3 at the back against a Royal Ballet Co. who had gone with a flexible back 5 with overlapping centre backs like SUFC.

Its like when you watch Johnson lying. He starts to smirk because he is telling a lie and thinks he is getting away with it - he would be shit at poker - not as shit as being a PM mind
