I do career mode with a lower tier team and try to build up from there. I've got Sunderland back in the PL.

I treat Fifa like Football Manager these days. Usually have a few seasons with City then move on to a club from the lower division and elevate them to the PL with some bargain signings.
The lack of realism is a bit annoying though. I play on Professional and have gone up every season and i'm top of the PL having beaten City 0-2 at the Etihad. The PL should be a struggle but it isn't.
Try "world class" pal. I personally found Professional too easy. World class was too difficult at first but you learn to adapt and improve your game. With world class, you need to change your shape quite often too and rely on players with potential ratings of 80+ to stand a chance of qualifying for CL.
On the game, city play a high line so I find it easy scoring against them on the counter attack.

Definitely age dependent. But last of us is the best game I ever played since PS2. If he’s in to sports games Madden is always worth a go - pick one up from a few years back for a 5er. You’re only paying for the up to date squads. Gave nba 2k20 a go but incredibly difficult and I have a reasonable knowledge of NBA and tactics etc.Depends how young your kid is but GTA, Red Dead Redemption 2, Last of Us... they're my favourites.
