General Videogame Thread

Hmm on Forza 7. Many many many hours on the series, but I'm not sure what is going on here. Not a fan of it being Horizon on circuits. Will give it some time, the steering seems 'off' to me.
Are you playing with controller or wheel?

If it's a controller then it'll be your deadzone settings. Standard settings make the cars feel "floaty" and almost arcade like. Changing the deadzone will give cars more "weight" and more realistic to drive

YouTuber SuperGT has done a really good video about controller settings

If it's a wheel just Google your wheel name deadzone settings for Forza 7. Hope that helps

They've already done 2 sets of pre orders m8 doubt there will be another this side of Christmas unfortunately :(

I doubt it mate, sorry, seems PS5 and Xbox x sold out everywhere you can still get Xbox s on pre order in some places.
Ah such a shame. Holidays ruined. My xbox one X died at the worst possible time. Thanks though.

Coincidentally just watched that, but cheers yeah. What possessed them to make the defaults as they were?

Nice prices for zen 3 and the big navi looks like it aint messing about either!

When I built in May I purposely went with a Ryzen 5 3600X on a X570 mobo as I new the Zen 3 was coming out. £200 on a CPU so that the upgrade wouldn't leave me feeling robbed so soon but whilst I am going to grab a Zen 3 as per the plan, the 3600X has been and is a fantastic CPU and handles anything thrown at it.

I got an Nvidia 2080 Super O/C and won't be upgrading that anytime soon but I can see me going Big Navi when I do.

I'm looking at the x570 myself will go for the 5600x I think as I only use my PC for gaming and browsing don't need 5900. With the graphics card I will wait and see if AMD are able to drive the prices down on NVIDIA, good times for PC gamers. Gone are the days of just intel and nvidia being the only option and ripping us off.

Same for me. 5600X as I don't need silly amounts of cores for gaming. Big Navi will live and die by its drivers. Get them right and I'm in.

I plan to make a new rig sometime next year and it's nice to see a lot of new parts launching now. As soon as Rocket Lake comes out and all the new things are thoroughly tested I think we will have a pretty good overview to base decisions on. It's all up in the air right now. I've stuck with Intel/NVidia for the last 4-5 builds but that might very well change. About cores for gaming I think we are seeing developers starting to utilize multithreading much more efficiently these days so high amounts of cores (with typically higher boost clocks) might still be worth it for a gaming-only rig.

Enjoying Fifa 21 career mode at the moment.

The training sessions are bit of a chore to sim through during pre season. Don't mind them during the season and occasionally have a go at them to increase sharpness.

Not too much difference in gameplay from last year, defending seems easier but first touch seems to be more realistic and challenging. Just hope the updates to Elland Road and roll out of third kits happens soon.

I quite like the FM mode (with the 2d dot graphics) when you simulate games. The quick sim option remains in place as well. Handy for those toss pre season games.

Regular external SATA SSD storage is nearly as quick as the Xbox internal SSD for loading Xbox One, 360 and OG Xbox games. Great money saving solution as the proprietary storage is £200+.

Digital Foundry speculate this will be the same on PS5 in terms of storing and playing your PS4 games. Again, much better than getting a 7gbs SSD for £200+.

You can get a good 500gb SATA drive for £50.

I think the gameplay is much better than last years. Defending like you say is a bit easier, though the AI of my defenders when im not controlling them is just shocking. Been playing on FUT at the moment and it really is a grind to generate coins and buy players. Trying to work through objectives to earn packs and get players. Makes me laugh when after only a day i come up across players who must have millions worth of players already and a team of superstars. They must be buying coins or something as whenever i open a pack i get Gerry Gow and Shaun Pollock.

Yep, FUT is pay to win sadly. Haven't played FUT since FIFA 16 but I got the game for free with my PS4 so felt okay about paying for a few packs as I spent nothing on the game. Got an inform Mexican striker card and he financed an Argentina team for me except Messi. I even had Aguero.

I don’t mind buying the odd pack here and there and enjoy playing online enough to earn a few coins over the months. Normally end up with an ok side but then I see players with Messi, Gullit, cruyff etc which must be 20 million coins alone and it’s clear they have cheated.
What do you play if not FUT? Not played any other modes for years now.

Soldiers a great battle awaits us. They are coming for us,to take everything we have, everything we've loved. They are determined to take it all from us...Let them come and we will see if they can !

Love it!

I do career mode with a lower tier team and try to build up from there. I've got Sunderland back in the PL.
