A friend of mine said the office where her boyfriend works was kept open throughout lockdown, theres about 10 of them in the one office and they all recently had antibodies tests. 2 of them were positive and the rest negative. Despite working in the same room every day for months during the first peak.what baffles me is a lad at works wife was poorly and tested positive but stayed at home with my mate.he was tested before he came back to work and was negative.how can someone in close contact as he still slept in the same bed not catch it.
Does anyone know what “guidance against travel” once we go into Tier 3 on Friday means in practical terms? Is it just advisory or can it be legally enforced? With half term coming up, could you take trips out of the area with the kids or is this a big no?
I think ric from day one it’s been avoid none essential travel but there’s no enforcement against apart from a full lock down what as of yet isn’t in place. Wales have these restrictions in place though from England.Does anyone know what “guidance against travel” once we go into Tier 3 on Friday means in practical terms? I live within 0.3 miles mate from Tameside to Derbyshire I’m in the the small part of high peak what’s in tier 2 I can’t see any checks whatsoever If people come over for some ..I have a just read a list and it is advised essential travel only and I don’t think you can go from a 3 area to a 2. Date I say who would know though?!

Thanks for the replies. Just read the below, and it suggests it’s only advisory rather than mandatory. Reason I ask is that I’ve done a website for a client I know who has a chalet in Cornwall. Instead of paying me he offered me a few days there during half term (months ago). It’d just be our household, but would we be breaking the rules if we actually went?!I think ric from day one it’s been avoid none essential travel but there’s no enforcement against apart from a full lock down what as of yet isn’t in place. “Can I still go on holiday?
You can, but the rules vary depending on which tier you are living in.
If you already on holiday when rules change in your hometown, you do not need to come home and can carry on your trip worry free.
Those in Tier 1 can still go on holiday with a group of up to six people from six households and stay together, as long as they practice distancing.
Those in Tier 2 can only go on holiday and stay with those in their household or support bubble. You can stay in a hotel with people outside your household but you shouldn't share rooms and should be outside when mixing with them.
Those in Tier 3 can only go away with their household or bubble, but have been encouraged not to travel out of their area.”
Go for it RIc although staying in a chalet must be a come down.. from the turner mansion;) Have a great time mrThanks for the replies.
