I find this actually quite interesting...and almost ironic it being posted on social media....seeing that so much of the storm around this has blown up on social media.

With so much click bait around, with the world becoming ever smaller and more connected, with the current (and many on here would say long standing) love in with Liverpool, things that would have in the past merited a couple of column inches get blown out of all proportion.

You get the prat going on about making a promise for if and when he sees Pickford, to all these questions and reviews. Had the ref even given a yellow against Pickford I would like to think (but am probably just being naive) that this matter would have calmed down by now and we would have moved on the the next storm in a tea cup.

At the end of the day it wasn't as bad as Schumacher on Battiston.

When he was accused of stamping on someone's head by accident...the ref saw it and wave play on ....than after a week or so the ref said he didnt see it even with pictures of the ref less than 6 feet away waving play on and looking staring at Balotelli, Balotelli was banned ?

Add Sergio v West Ham and Adebeyor v Arse to that list.

Both suffered trial by media who found them guilty then banned by the FA.
 
Have we had this morning's bulletin yet? Our street agreed not to watch TV last night (it was only the Europa League) and meet in the middle of the road (to prevent any Liverpudlians descending on us to sacrifice a goat and use its liver to reach a prognosis) to offer up prayers for a comfortable night for the great man. How is he this morning? Have the lads been to visit him (virtually, of course, because they're in tier 3) and have the PL docked City 6 points yet?

Looking at the still photos on the past few pages l would have put money on that Pickford was going to get a really painful feeling between his legs. It does not look like VD is about to sustain a serious injury. It happens - players get injured in innocuous challenges and even with no other player involved.
 
I’m surprised the Queen has not ordered Pickford to the tower to be hung drawn and quartered, still banging on about this ffs

The Adebayor one was staggering. They introduced “fast track” hearings that very week and banned him for one of a variety of reasons. An incident that he’d been booked for that the referee then claimed not to have seen, time wasting whilst celebrating a goal despite the fact that no
player in the history of the game got back into his own half quicker, didn’t leave the pitch and didn’t make any obscene gestures or for scoring in every league match of the season up until a Manchester derby.

I believe we know the real reason.

I flicked on CNN and they were discussing how Littlewoods would manage without Hertz van Rental so immediately switched off. 15 minutes later I switched on hoping for some other football news and they were banging on about what Liverpool couldor should do about getting a replacement in the January window. Off.

Didn’t Ferguson also mention in a pre match presser that “their” best player won’t be playing?
