To be fair to Mahrez, in his 64 league games for us, he has scored or assisted 33 times ... which is an awful lot better than 1-in-10.Mahrezl was terrible as expected, can't understand how that person is a record buy, £60m player....he contributes nothing, and for all his one assist or goal every 10 games...he is a luxury player that doesn't deserve his wage, never mind his starting place.

The problem Mahrez has always had is that he never really fitted into our system. So he has the odd great game because he's a talented player, but so often he slows our game down or doesn't link up with others as well as others. Think about your best Mahrez moments, and for me it's almost always some individual brilliance rather than as a part of a great move.
Its not always the defense thats to blame,a lot can also be placed on the midfield not doing their job which results in pressure being placed on the back four/fiveI think we would have the same defensive issues with him to be honest.

Mahrez is blessed with amazing skill and scored many vital winning goals 2018/19. However he dwells in it too much when we need the quick ball against a packed defence. Agreed. And that is fine and I agree talhst things are cyclical in sport. It has been Liverpools turn to rise to prominence in that respect. But that being so, I increasingly think that we should just acknowledge it and maybe look to make a change.
